Pets at Home acquires Petsmart in the UK, bringing the chain to 140 stores          

Introduction of Companion Care instore vet practices with full service including 24 hour emergency call-out

2004

Pets at Home acquired by European Private Equity firm, Bridgepoint in a deal with a total enterprise value of £230m.

Matt Davies appointed CEO, Luke Mayhew appointed Chairman.                                  

Pets at Home have also gone international with the opening of a joint venture store in Melbourne, Australia www.petsathome.com.au.                  

2007    

Pets at Home launches pet adoption scheme in selected stores to re-home displaced or unwanted small animals.
