Applying for a Grant
Does your application meet our criteria?
We are keen to ensure that monies are distributed to those organisations which have the potential to make the most difference. The items or projects you seek funds for should clearly bring benefits to animal welfare and in particular benefit/encourage the rehoming of pets.
How much can I apply for?
Generally, awards are between £200 and £5000 towards your project. Trustees prefer to offer part funding to complement your own fundraising or grant raising.
Are there things I cannot apply for?
Yes, we would obviously like to help everybody, but as you will appreciate this is not always possible. We are therefore unable to offer support for the following:
-
Individuals going on gap year trips or voluntary trips
-
Overseas charities and rehoming centres
-
The purchase or upkeep of second hand vehicles
-
Groups that have received a grant from the foundation within the last twelve months
-
Loans or interest payments
-
Medical research
-
Items which have already been purchased

Follow Up
We have a monitoring and evaluation policy and will require acknowledgement of receipt from all grant recipients, and confirmation that the grant will be used for the purpose specified by the Trustees.
If you receive a grant of up to £1000, we may telephone you as part of our monitoring procedure to check that the grant is being spent on the purpose specified by the Trustees.
If you receive a grant of more than £1,000, we may arrange for a member of our staff to carry out a post-grant visit to see how the work has progressed. The evaluation process helps us to measure the difference our grant has made and the challenges faced.
It is likely that we may contact all grant recipients at some point to gain feedback and testimonials, to use in press releases issued to the media, on our website or within our club magazine. We would expect our grant recipients to be supportive of this.
