Replacement Filter Carbon Insert 2 Pack for Aquafish Aquarium are specifically designed for the removal of harmful toxins such as Ammonia from your aquarium water.

Carbon is effective in the removal of toxins from aquarium water, however the Carbon Cartridge should not be used as a treatment. Regular testing of water quality and regular water changes should be maintained.

Replacement of your Carbon Cartridge every 6-8 weeks is necessary, to ensure the continued health of your fish and aquarium water.

If you are treating your aquarium water with medication, the Carbon Cartridge should be removed from the filter, as carbon will remove any treatments and medications from the water.
