I have seen considerable evidence to link woodshavings and other softwood based beddings with health problems in small animals, especially respiratory problems and liver damage. Paper and cardboard based beddings are much safer.

Small and soft making their toilet area comfortable although slightly more dust than I would like. But It is still my prefered woodshavings choice.
