Chinese Dwarf Hamster

Chinese dwarf hamsters tend to be slightly thinner than Russian hamsters and have a slightly longer tail than most other hamsters. They are very easy to handle, are great climbers and cling to your fingers with their tiny paws but they are fast and therefore not suitable for young children. Male Chinese hamsters often live happily in pairs or groups, but the females can be intolerant of each other and may be better living individually. Chinese dwarf hamsters live for about 2.5-3 years.

I recently got 2 chinese dwarf hamsters. The other day one escaped in my bedroom and disapeared into a hole, I was sure he had run far away or was dead but.. two days later I found it under the fridge and had to tempt it out with peanut butter. They are very cute but only come out at night (and make a racket on their wheel) but i am sooooo glad I got them and I hope they will let me hold them soon.

I bought a Dwarf hamster earlier this year. It recently died and it bit me every time I held it but it was a nice hamster and funny to watch.
