Broke After Two Months

I bought this for my six month old kitten in the middle of February 2013.

The frame of the bed proved to be a struggle to put together and I needed a second pair of hands to help. Furthermore it would appear that the fabric was pulled very taught over the base of the bed but thought nothing of it.

Last night as my kitten jumped on it to have his post dinner nap, the material ripped and unfortunately the bed is now unusable.

Prior to this my kitten loved the bed and would like nothing more than to curl up on it, however I am now hesitant to purchase another in case this happens again.

This was a struggle to put together. You put together half the frame then 'slip' the cover on and put the other half of the frame together ... Sounds easy? Well it isn't and the cover doesn't just slip onto the frame, you have to tug and pull and it just seems too small. I wished I had returned it. My cat has been using it since I bought it 3 weeks ago and now the seams have come apart and so it's just hanging off the frame. My cat is still a kitten - 11 months and is not big so I know it's not misuse or him being big/heavy. I won't get another one of these but do want a radiator bed as he does love it but I'm loathed to spend more money on them in case they are all as bad quality as this one!

My cat loves this bed,I bought the display one in pets at home Stockport,I didn't realise there was a screw missing until a month or so later so the left side does keep popping out of bracket.But she loves it that much it doesn't matter.It does look a little battered after 6 mths but she pads it every day which does produce a lot of fluff of it but never known a cat do this before ( many yrs ago cats used to do this with long grass to flatten it to make a bed).She is only a little cat so she uses it as a launch pad to get onto the window sill as well.

She's taken to it like a duck to water! Since we put it up on Christmas Day she's barely been out of it. It's big enough for an average sized cat to roll around in, so they can comfortably change position. We have put ours over a double radiator, so the front of it does tilt up, but I see this as a positive, as she can't roll out of it accidentally. She's not tried it on the ground yet, but it looks kind of like a little sofa, still with a hammock effect, so might be good for a cat with arthritis. Putting it up took about 15 mins, and it's very sturdy. If I was really nit-picking then I would point out that any pet bed in cream will look grubby quite quickly - maybe brown/grey/etc would be better choice of colour?

Our three year old medium sized cat has been using this every day for the last two weeks now. It took two of us about 10 mins to put together.(only needed two people to stretch the cover on the frame). Our cat tosses and turns on the bed and there is no movement of the frame at all. Despite the picture showing our cat's legs hanging off the end, this was just her stretching out and she was comfortably fast asleep. Other times she curls herself up and fits well on the base of the bed.

After reading the previous review I decided to try putting this together myself (rather than listen to my husband moaning!) it took me half an hour and that's including me having to redo a step as I got a bit over confident and put it together wrong! Very easy to assemble and with a sprinkling of cat nip to get my cat used to it, he is currently lounging in it like lord muck! Very happy.

Bought one today and took over an hour to put together with husband getting very irrate! Once on radiator it stands quite a way off from it so cat does not get hardly any heat so cats are still fighting over the original 'basic' one that I've had for a while and which they love. It is also huge and sticks out a good 6 inches more than my other one. Think I'll take it back and get and another 'basic' one.

Had to return the first product I purchased as it had no instructions and a missing part. Swapped the item for another box and checked all parts and instructions present before bringing home.
After over an hr of trying to assemble it discovered that the final part would not fit together because it was not the part described in the instruction booklet - it was meant to click together but there was no click part to the part meaning it would not fit together. I now either have to return the product again or try and glue it together.
Very disappointed in the quality and workmanship of this product.
Please don't bother wasting your time or money on this product as I would not recommend purchasing it as it is certainly not fit for purpose.
