Description

Suitable for reptiles, amphibians, arachnids, birds, and some small mammals.

Containing approximately 40 Waxworms (Galleria mellonella) this is a great way to feed your pet. Waxworms are approximately 15-20mm and are packed in a safe and ventilated tub.

Storage information:

Once you get the waxworms home, leave in the container they are purchased in.

Keep at around 60F (15C) and do not add any further feed or moisture. Any that die will quickly darken in colour, and these must be removed from the pot.

The stock control is shocking.

My wife picked up a tub for our beardies unfortunately when she opened it all but a handful had pupated and we actually had moths in there too!!!!

Looking at the date on the tub they had been in there almost a fortnight. Unfortunately my wife didn't realise that the numbers on the pot were a date or I am sure she woudln't have picked them up.

The store really is convienient but I will be driving the extra miles to get better quality for my pets from now on.

A Tasty Treat

Just for people buying to bare in mind, mostly the Newbie reptile keepers: Waxworms are intended as a treat and not a staple diet, they're rather fattening and will quickly ammount to an obese lizard! Especialy Leopard geckos, haha! Very good if you have a skinny hatchling runt that needs fattening up or even for lizards that have lost weight due to being a bit poorly, though.

I would however suggest looking inside tubs before buying as it's not uncommon for pet shops to get a few dud tubs and sometimes if you're going in just before the next delivery the older tubs can have a few dead worms in too, this is likely what other buyers have experienced :P

IGNORE ALL BAD COMMENTS! I purchased these for my leopard gecko and left 3 in a bowl next day all gone. He'll have to wait until next week for more! I got about 20-25 in a tub and only 1 brown one! they come in a plastic pot with a yellow lid. Cost is good. But i checked all pots to see which was best all were fine except some had more than others, I'd recommend you check them too. You have to shift the sawdust around a bit but you can easily see them wriggling around! :)

hi i have many times purchased wax worms for my geckos and anoles ,the wax worms usually come in a tub of 40 and when ever i buy a tub only about 4 from each tub are wiggling about the rest have already turned dark brown or have turned into moths so a complete waste of time and money ,so would not recommend to any one .
