This is a great carrier, I bought one a few months ago for my syrian hamsters, I think the price is just about right, I don't use it that often but its nice to know its there in case I have to take one of the hamsters to the vets and I only used to have a big guinea pig carrier which is too big this is just the right size, I wouldn't recommend it for guinea pigs though, it says this in the description unless it is referring to baby guinea pigs which even then there wouldn't be alot of room for them, but it's perfect for hamsters, mice, gerbils, small rats and animals around that size.

It is good. My hamster ate a peanut in it and didn't want to get out of it! She was scared of it at first but isn't now! I am using it to clean her out as she broke her ball. It isn't possible to chew as there is nothing to chew!

I have 1 syrian hamster and i brought it for him and he hated it because it was too small then i brought the bigger one and its much better because it has more space!

This is a very small pet carrier and is not suitable for the description which is given. Your advert says Suitable for Small: guinea pig, hamsters, rats, mice, gerbils and dwarf hamsters, Large: Cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, small dogs.

You are must be joking. Even an baby rabbit, adult guinea pig is too small to put in one of these ... how you fit a small dog I would love to know.

Does exactly what it says!

My hamster wasn't too happy to begin with for being put in this as it was a new environment, but was exactly the same when I put her in her cage for the first time. Have used it to take her to the vet and to and from uni in the holidays and she is happy as larry to go in it now! Very lightweight and does exactly what it says.

Does The Job

This little travel box does the job. I used for bringing the hamsters back home from the registered breeder I bought them from because I've heard they will chew cardboard boxes.

The 'small' one is definately too small for guinea pigs, so do not buy for use with them and larger rodents.

It's a perfect size for dwarf hamsters, gerbils or mice. Up to 2 at a time, no more should be in at the same time because it is a small enviroment.

The hinge is not strong!!!

The hinge is not very strong at all and it 'clicks' when you close the lid. After just one day it broke when I closed the lid. It is the perfect size for two gerbils and is fun to use but it needs an extra strap to keep it closed. Be careful not to trap paws, tails and whiskers in the lid when closing!!!!

I bought three of the small carriers when moving house to hold a Chinese hamster and two Syrians.

The small carrier base is quite sturdy, difficult for a pet to chew through as the sides don't provide anywhere for latching onto. The closing clip is secure as it must be pressed in from the outside to keep closed which prevents a pet being able to shove the top open themselves.

The lid that lifts up is quite flimsy and I feel that with regular use, the joints onto the base could easily break. Unlike the large carriers, the small ones do not have a top half that is also part of the base, i.e when you lift the lid, the exposed base is very shallow and I believe a pet could easily escape from there. It was very cramped for my Syrians and impossible to use with dwarves, as they're so fast and jumpy that a shallow carrier like this is simply no good for preventing escape.

I wouldn't recommend this carrier unless being used for a very short period of time, I no longer use the ones I bought; the large carriers are taller are more secure for dwarves and more spacious for mice and all species of hamster.
