As a long time pet owner, but first time corn snake owner, this is ideal substrate for her little vivarium. I have put that it stains easily as a con, but this also a pro as I can clean it out appropriately. Total bonus that it was on offer when I bought it. As it was what she was raised on, I wanted to keep her on something familiar, and am thorougly pleased with it and will be buying it again.

We use it for our House Snakes, they love burrowing in it. The only snag is that we have to put the mice on top of the cave, so aspen doesn't stick to it and get ingested, but that's the case with all snake substrates

I also use this for my gerbils, it's the best stuff you can buy for any rodent but I would expect more for what I'm paying but I tend not to worry about that because I mix it[@]Other than that, fantastic!

I use these shavings for my gerbils as pine or cedar is dangerous for small animals. It's not too dusty and is a really good bedding. My brother also uses this for his snake.
