great looking,
very unsafe, stitching came un sewn second day on and paint peeled off when puppy scratched after a day, would never trust the strength to use on a walk as the hook to keep excess collar tucked in has flimsy staple in and if this breaks means collar could work undone, feel the whole product is easily breakable even for my tiny, light puppy

only had a week and leather peeled off, got new collar and a week later the same thing has happened...so cannot rate this a good buy...beware as not everything that looks nice is durable....very poor and shoddy!

We have a large dog and need a strong collar which doesn't look too "menacing" (studs etc) this was a great compromise.
We have bought this twice, firstly in a smaller size and second his adult size. We are only just replacing it, mainly as it now looks a little pulled from his lead.

We've had absolutely none of the problems that other users are reporting. The collar has lasted well over a year, even with a strong, pulling dog. We've never been disappointed and always feel confident in its strength.

I have a Springer Spaniel and we are out minimum 3 walks a day and 2 of those walks are at minimum an hour and a half. I'm glad I never read the reviews on this collar cause it is the only one that has lasted as long, we are out in all weathers and still looks new considering its now 4 months old. Would by this anytime. Beware though of bargain shops I notice a lot of them have the exact same design however after looking at them they are nothing like the quality of pets at home wereI bought my dogs from.

as others have said the "D" ring that holds the rest of the collar down broke in the 2nd week, and the bone fell off as the little metal ring wasn't that strong but is easily fixed. i bought this for my lab puppy he is only 5mnths but he is huge and bouncy. not sure how well it would do for walks as he is rarely on the lead. credit where it's due he seemed happy enough with it, it hasn't irritatd him or the fur where it sits, was easily cleaned and did look very nice on him.
will now be buying another collar as he got hold of the excess (due the the d ring breaking off) and chewed it to pieces!
would probably buy this product again and just see how the "D" ring holds up this time, but if it breaks again i will be back for a refund.

HAVE BEED THROUGH 3 OF THESE WITH IN 2 MONTHS. BONES FELL OFF, THE LEATHER BIT THAT HOLDS THE END DOWN FELL OFF HAD TO USE TAPE EVERYTIME SHE HAD IT ON. GAVE UP IN THE END TAKING THEM BACK AND GOT A DIFFERENT ONE ELSE WHERE.

Got the large one for my dog as it seemed like a nice strong collar.
The d ring fell off after a few weeks. Had it 2 months now and it is shocking, it falls off very easy, the stiching has all started to come away, the collar has started to peel aswell.I should also point out we never walk our dog on a collar he is always walked on a harness so would hate to think how it would have faired up if we had used it too walk him on.
This collar may look nice in the shop but that is where it stops I would never buy again and would advise people not too as it is not a good collar and worries me how easy it falls off.

I wanted a nice collar for my dog especially as her old one was getting quite tatty. I wanted a black one as i know any colour other than brown/natural or black tend to dye the dogs fur and this one would go with all of her leads.
Although it is expensive it seems to be very comfortable for my dog and due to it being thick prevents her from slipping it (she's good at that!) I don't know what it is but something with this collar has also got rid of the ring which her previous collar left on her neck.
The only downside is that the bone came off due to a poor ring for it so have know had to get a new ring for it
These collars are expensive but worth it!!
