messy and expensive

I own a timid female cat who has recently started venturing outdoors but still uses her litter tray indoors so I need something with very good odor control and a product that doesnt create a mess as I also have two young children. I recently decided to try this over my usual cheaper wood pellet litter. I am less than impressed and wish i hadn't bothered!

I found this to be very messy, even though it doesn't break down into a dust the pellets get everywhere! Much more of a clean up than with wood pellets.

I found the odor control to be reasonably good at first, however, there seems to be very little difference between pellets that have been urinated upon and those that haven't. This caused a problem when my husband cleaned the cats tray of any obviously used areas before we went out for the day, by the time we got back the whole house smelt of ammonia yet looking at the litter, none of it appeared to have been used. As a result the entire tray is being emptied at each clean making it very very expensive indeed.

The only plus side is my cat likes it.... but then we haven't found a litter she doesn't like so i guess she's just not fussy.

I have 2 cats and one is VERY picky when it comes to cat litter. He loves this. It doesn't get taken around the house as it doesn't break down so no dust. So much easier to clean out as you can scoop out the urine areas instead of it breaking down to dust and all being mixed in. Great product could be slightly cheaper though. Only reason I gave a 4.

I brought this as an ulternative to my standard cheap cat litter. I havent been impressed my cat flicks it out the tray, it sticks to my cats feet and therefore gets redistributed round the house. It keeps the cats business constantly moist which is unpleasant to clean out.

This is a great product. It was recommended to me and I was attracted to it because it's made from recycled paper.

I wasn't quite sure to believe it when I was told it absorbs odours, but it's true!

The only problem we've had is a comedy one - because some of the chunks are quite large, the very naughty kitten now and again uses them as a toy...

I have tried a few other litters and this is the best for odour control. Very little odour at all. Better than clays, as lighter and find they have no odour control and better than Worlds best.

It does track a little but big pieces so easy to pick up. The only downside is that it isn't clumping, but the odour control outweighs this for me.

Doesn't mask odours and gets kicked out the box when the cats scrape, soaks up urine very quickly and is very hard to clean out.

cat litter trays ...
one of my cats is allergic to wood pellets so i had to look for an alternative. Paper pellets much better as there was less dust and it didnt get stuck on my cats paws.
Down side is this product is nearly £5 dearer than the wood pellets,

I did use Biocatolet and then tried Breeder Celect and what a difference !!!!!! WOW. Less mess, no paper mâché and great odour control, it's also far more economic. It's the BEST litter I have ever used and after powdery wood pellets and heavy clay products it simply is a dream to use. What a GREAT British product.
