I have bird feeders placed around the garden, including three Fat Ball feeders and they attract all kinds of birds.
I have a family of bluetits ,sparrows and long tailedtits which use the fat balls regularly, with starlings also cashing in.
Highly recommended.

I put these fatballs out at my allotment and they are very popular with all sorts of birds. I do like the fact that the balls are un-netted, saves all that plastic waste. As per other reviewers, it would be nice to have refills without the buckets.

My birds love these everything from robins greenfinch and sparrows tuck into them. Wish they would do a refill pack as you dont need a bucket every time. Great value for money.

I cannot understand why some customers have given poor reviews for these fat balls. When the weather is very cold, especially when there is snow & ice and the ground is hard, I sometimes need to put out 3-4 daily. If the fat balls are cold they are hard and difficult to 'crumble', just keep them at room temperature before putting out. I find that the birds don't bother with them so much when the ground is soft and they can get plenty of worms & insects. When the weather is warm I stop putting them out as they just don't get eaten. These are very good value for money. I just wish they would come in refill packs as the plastic containers are a waste.

I've bought these a few times and the birds seem to love them - especially the starlings - they eat them down to nothing. I know a lot of people don't like starlings and even I admit they're not the prettiest of birds, but they need to eat as well. Don't know whether the little birds eat them - but I am going change the set up to give the smaller birds a chance.

I did have a batch that I had had for a very long time that I put out last summer which I found that the birds wouldn't eat at all. Whether it was because the fat had gone rancid or it was the wrong time of year for fat balls I don't know, but I eventually threw them away, bought these and the birds just started to tuck in. Perhaps the balls other customers had that weren't eaten were old stock.

I should have read the other reviews before buying. Neither a large variety of wild birds nor squirrels will touch them. After a few days I tried breaking a couple up to make it easier for them to eat and I had to use a heavy hammer to break them-for fat balls! Quite frankly too much cement in the mixture; I wonder if they contain any fat. Destined for the dustbin and never to be bought again.

We buy these fat balls all the time. They are very economical but more importantly, the birds seem to really enjoy them. One tub tends to last me for a month.

Put these in the fat ball holders and within a couple of hours all the birds had tried and left, even the squirrels don't like them. Finally taken them out and changed them for a different brand and the birds have returned !!!!
Look grey and very few seeds in, would not buy again
