I brought this product for my syrian hamster. The cage I have is 80 by 50 so I was worried that I might use it all in one go. But for a good depth and coverage I only needed about a quarter because it expands. It is also really attractive and it is non dusty. I have members of my family with severe asthma who play with her and don't react AT ALL. Also it doesn't smell and absorbs pee. My old hamster used to have sawdust but she always kicked it out. I reccomend this stuff if you wish to keep the cage in your bedroom.

I brought this for my new hamster and it's amazing. For my old hamster I used wood shavings but they were ugly and dusty also the hamster kicked them out onto the carpet. This stuff is so durable and soft and is a lot more absorbent although when my hamster wants to pee she burrows right down to the bare plastic which is actually more convenient to clean. It is also so much softer and could be used as bedding but it is very durable.

I thought the smell of this bedding was disgusting, the mix of urine and the smell it had made me want to puke, will try the natural carefresh to see if that's any better, if you don't like a potent smell then I wouldn't recommend this bedding.

This is the best bedding for small pets,my hamster loves it!i used to use sawdust but it can cause respiritory problems. This product is soft absorbant has no smell and lets the pet burrow and nest :)

My hamsters love this. It smells strange and takes a while to get used to but it absorbs urine very well. I've had no bad odours in their tank and it's been in there for a good week. It looks quite ugly but I'd rather them have something that looks more colorful unlike the natural. If you have a problem with odour then this is a must. It's great value for what you get because it doubles in volume when you get it out of the packet!

My friend was going away on holiday so she asked me to look after her hamster as i have had hamsters before. When it came to the day i went to collect her hamster and saw this bedding inside, it looked marvellous and her hamster loves it. When I was cleaning out her cage I noticed it was so easy to clean and didn't smell at all. When she came back I asked her where to get it from and she told me it was from pets at home. As soon as she had gone I logged onto my computer and found it at pets at home. At that moment in time I did not have any pets but I am going to get another rabbit soon so will be probably buying this for its bedding. Lovely worth every single penny.
