Great in principle, but fails miserably

I've tried several of these now, all with the same outcome. We have two kittens, and while they are chipped, we saw fit to have some external ID as well. The barrel was easy to attach and never got in the way. However, within a week, they had come open and the bottom, and paper, was lost. I thought I hadn't tightened it properly, so got two more. Once again, the same thing happened. The third set I tightened with pliers. But once again, it was lost. I have since given up and have invested in engraved tags for my pair

What a waste of money! I bought this to tide me over while I was getting a proper tag made for my new kitten. It immediately came apart when I got it out of the packet (the two halves) and I wasn't able to do it up again as the screw was cross threaded. Several attempts but the thread was already ruined. A complete waste of time! Tiny space to write on but that is to be expected and you could use a label to help with that.

Does what is says on the tin; small and unobtrusive to the cat but very useful. A lovely neighbour posted my cat's collar through the letterbox having found it and read the details inside. Lucky, nothing had happened to my cat, only that her collar had come off, but when I did find a run-over cat once, this may have saved the difficulty of trying to find the owner...
