The Cavie Cavie 80 Guinea Pig Cage by Ferplast is an ideal guinea pig home to bring your guinea indoors, whilst keeping the living space of a conventional hutch.

Coming complete with:

Guinea pigs need lots of exercise in order to stay happy and healthy.

A guinea pig should never permanently be kept in its cage and should be let out in a suitable run for exercise.

I don't think this cage is too small at all. If you take out the horrible plastic sloping hideaway thing then it's a very spacious cage for two guinea pigs. Seriously, take out the grey plastic thing, and then you're all set. I would recommend that if you have a hoover with a nozzle that you can use on plastic, you hoover out the corners after taking the bulk of the bedding out. Then spray with pet disinfectant. The door/lid opens easily and if the guinea pigs want to jump out easily they can (if you let your piggies run around). good water bottle holder but i find ceramic, heavy bowls are better for feeding than the plastic ones. We got this cage off a friend who was moving to new Zealand and we only had small. cramped cages big enough for 1 guinea pig to live in. We had to have 2 in each (but they were outside most of the time though so they were ok - we still use these cages for them if we're going on holiday or if one is ill etc) and so we dug my older cage out that was from a different shop and now we have 2 in each cage. The 2 pairs of cavies don't get on, so i have the cages( roughly the same size) next to eachother so they can get used to eachother. this is a decent product, but you can get better hideaway boxes than the ugly grey one, which is hard to get the piggies out of, and is regularly chewed =/

This is a fantastic cage to use for taking pets on holiday, general travel, for young animals, as a quarantine cage etc.

People are complaining about size, it doesn't state this is a long term enclosure.

I find this brilliant as temp housing for baby guinea pigs and grumpy boars. Extremely versatile .
Easy to clean and easy to take apart for storage if not needed.

My 2 1 month old g.pigs are getting used to this cage better then the hutch it is quite roomy and has space for them

ONLY BAD THING ABOUT IT IS THE CAGE DORS ARE EASy TO OPEN BUT MAKE LOUD NOISES

This is way too small to keep one guinea pig let alone two. In my opinion you need atleast the 120 ferplast cage.

This should only be used as a travel cage that is all

my friend uses this for her two adult guinea pigs. it is, in my opinion, way to small. i would only use this for the tiniest of babies or for travel. it may be cheap but your pig will be much happier with something bigger.

This cage is too small for even one fully grown guinea pig. It does not meet up to the recommended cage size for 1 guinea pig which is 76x91cm.
The grey house is not used as guinea pigs will not climb onto it. They do jump (popcorn) when they are excited but are not as agile as rabbits, so that should not have the food bowl on top.

I guess the only use for this is travel due to it's small size.

It's easy to clean which is about the only positive.

Some of the items are poor quality such as the water bottle, it keeps dripping water constanly and its making the hay wet.
The cage is fine for now as it it roomy but by the time it is older am going to need to buy a bigger cage as it is going to be too small.

You pay what you get, invest in another brand.

i bought this cage for my guinea pigs because i had two females and they started fighting so i had to seperate them, i got another two guinea pigs (males) on my birthday 28th jan and i introduced them to my females on 30th of jan and the two that are in this cage love it when you clean them out they squeak because they cant wait to get back in their home i think it is very spacious for two guinea pigs and the open at the front i find fantastic because it's easy to get your pet out. i will have to buy another one of these cages as my guinea pigs are exspecting :D So Excited cant wait to see the little babies :)
