The Classic Black Extending Dog Lead by Flexi is an extra strong dog lead specifically designed for large and heavy dog breeds.

5m cord lead;

Small: suitable for dogs weighing up to 12kg;
Medium: suitable for dogs weighing up to 20kg;
Large: suitable for dogs weighing up to 50kg.

this product is great my dogs love it and they have the opportunity to run with this lead and it allows dogs to run far but not too far and you can keep your hand on a button or lock it to make it shorter this is great for Lexy Mia and Sasha because they don't get along great with other dogs so when they walk by we can always shorten the lead

we bought this for our lab - i think it is great as he can run a few meters ahead of me and feel free but still attached. only downside i found is the lock unlocks very easily - when i want to keep him on a short lead it is not great ! overall good product

rubbish product, had it for about 3 months and it snapped whilst out with dog and fling back nearly hitting me in the face lucky wasn't near any busy roads and carried him home!!! bad quality, dangerous and useless!!! dosen't lock properly and breaks easily!!! DON'T BUY!!!!

puppy with razor teeth chewed through the first one whilst stood talking to another owner in the park - realised when leash recoiled and disapeared into unit. LUCKILY he was too scared to run off. He is now 5 months old and nearly through the 2nd one so is now useless.

Would be ideal if it had a chain entwined nylon strapping for the first part for chewy dog/pups as the cord part is great!

Pros - Lovely handle very comfortable (needed for strong pup) with brill controll for everyday walking - puppy has learnt recall on this leash and can now be let free.

Would get full stars if it was chew proof!!!

This is the 3rd flexi lead we have had for our 3rd rescue English Bull Terrier - the first got chewed through, the second just wore out after a number of years of (very) rough and tumble.

We had a tape cord last time - happy to have a proper cord again which blows around less in the wind. My current dogs recall is so poor she always walks on a lead, and this is so light she barely notices its there. This to me is also the only con - Im sure the manufacturers would say that materials and construction are getting lighter for increased comfort, but to me I prefered my older lead which was chunkier and felt more secure.

This said I've been using this lead for a month and it hasn't let me down yet - I have no reason not to come back to Flexi again.

I've used these leads for years and recently bought a new one. They offer great flexibility and means Daisy can have a run about even when it's not safe for her to have the full freedom of being off the lead. Great product!

I've used Flexi leads for over 20 years. For 20 years, they've been very good and I keep coming back for more when they eventually wear out. HOWEVER, the latest evolution of the product is absolutely useless. These are now built as cheaply as possible, but sold for as much money as possible.
The brake on the latest version is ineffective.
The lock is downright dangerous. It does not latch properly and frequently unlatches itself.
We nearly lost my dog under the wheels of a car thanks to the lock releasing itself.
DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU VALUE THE SAFETY OF YOUR DOG.

We have a 20-week old lab and I have tried various leads/harnesses. This one is good value for walks to new areas where I am not confident to let him off - lead. It can be shortened and fixed there for the walk home. Not particularly heavy-duty so it won't last too long I don't think, but OK for the price.
