Made from a high quality soft nylon for comfort, strength and durability, the Control Lead also provides a great solution for walkers with two dogs enabling you to walk them both on one lead.

The Control Training Lead for Dogs by Pets at Home is dog trainer approved and was designed by George Grayson - Chairman of the Dog Training Industry Association, UK.

This is the second of these leads we've purchased as after 3 years our last one broke. We've no complaints over the functionality of the lead, as it can be used in multiple ways, and whilst the description as a 'control lead' is slightly misleading as it really isn't that controlling, we had no unreasonable expectations in this respect having owned and used the lead previously. However, the quality (or lack thereof) of the newly purchased lead in comparison with the old one is quite stark. The material is thinner and appears less durable though it does seem as though it will suffice for purpose. The real issue would be with the metal clasps which are much much flimsier than before and do not feel as though they will last, really frustrating as the lead is not inexpensive. It seems that corners have been cut to save manufacturing costs but the price is still relatively high.

I actually love this lead! i have a 1YO rottweiler and having the lead over my shoulder means i can use voice commands whilst my hands are free and use my hands to give him treats but if he needs a correction i am still able to give him it. the lead also gives me maximum controll of him with it being over the shoulder and across the chest like a bag it is harder for the dog to pull, with that in mind he still has enough length to go and sniff around and do his buisness but short enough if need be he can be held close and under controll quickly and effectively.

Great for having a lead of different lengths or clipping it around my shoulder so i can walk the dog with both my hands free or tethering him to something quickly. i use this for training my 2 dogs (each has a training lead - its dangerous to put multiple dogs on one lead) and i can clip it to harnesses or haltis aswell as their collars or simply use it as a normal shorter lead. i always use these leads now :)

saw a pro dog walker using one and thought it might help me with my lively young lab on her halti, when excited she pulled back and ditched it.but one end to collar the other to halti giving me two points of control i can loosen halti end and hold collar end, after a few tries she has now given up her little trick. its also good to have a lead that is long or short without the hassle of taking two separate leads out with me, my only niggle is that its a bit rough where the stitching is, the rest of the lead is very comfortable to hold, either two handed or doubled in one hand.

I am the owner of 3 terriers or terrors!!! one of my terriers a cross fox terrior/lakeland male is a very strong dog and requires a control harness and lead. The lead is too long and when having to use same hand to pick up my dogs mess with a bag then the control lead easily slips of my wrist giving my dog if i am not quick enough ample opportunity to run off.
I use my other free hand to walk my remaining two terriers on seperate leads wrapped around my wrist which is normally fine as they never pull on their leads.
This control lead also came without proper instructions for use so took ages trying to work out which parts to clip to where.

I purchased this lead thinking that it would help control my 5 month old border collie when on walks, the lead is good as you can use it in different ways but i found that it did not stop or even reduce my dog pulling and can be awkward when letting off lead then back on as it can get tangled, i have 3 dogs and find that with this lead it is harder to walk my puppy with the other two as it is uncomfortable and can get tangled up in the other two dogs. I would recomend it to a owner who has one or two dogs that dont pull.It also is a good length.

A genuinely flexible lead, especially useful for two dogs, one of whom is murder on the lead, if the other one is calm submissive. We use it for our German Shepherd, who needs tight control, and then add our medium size mutt (who is basically as much trouble on the lead as a handbag). The shepherd is influenced by the energy of the mutt when on the same lead--it works twice as well to have them both on this lead rather than have them on separate leads. There are numerous ways to hook them up, each appropriate to different situations (high traffic, park, etc.) Almost indestructible, but wouldn't last if your dog is a lead chewer. Also great if you are carrying other things in hand, as you can loop it over your shoulder--and then they are both really handbags! Highly recommended.

i use this with a halti, and clip one side to the halti and the other to a collar. this is effective and reduces pulling.

Two small mini Dachshunds on one walk used to be a twin nightmare - but this lead is fantastic - hitch 'em up and away they go - freedom to be independent from each other but easy for me to control.

They are both together but now able to 'investigate' every crisp packet, dog-end (no pun intended), trees, squirrel etc. without becoming tangled with each other, me or innocent passers-by!

Very pleased with this product. Good quality. Gives the impresion would be very hard to break. Got this lead for my German Shep and feel confident that even if she is pulling the clasps will hold. Good length. Only thing missing is a strap close to the hook so I could walk her on a short lead.
