I have recently bought this product for my elderly rabbit. His other cage was getting damp, also he was finding it hard to go up his ramp to get to his bedroom.
I thought this would be great for him becuse it looked good as well as being just one level. However, this wasn't the case. The locks were stiff and hard to lock, had to spend almost 2 minutes to get them to lock. For an old rabbit, he finds it hard to step out of his cage out to his run; so when i found out he would have to jump over this extra piece of wood, i was disppointed. Also it doesn't give him enough room to jump, if he did, i wouldn't been suprised if he banged his head on the ceiling! Last thing of my rant (Sorry!) is just the flooring. I did not know it was made of plastic but it was good as it was a pull out so you can clean it easier. On the other hand, the flooring was flimsy.

It would probably be better for younger,smaller rabbits or better yet guinea pigs. Though with the floor, it's up to you if it's safe or not...Maybe if you don't usually get foxes... Good thing about it is that it was roomy! :P Sorry to be such a Mr. Grumpy but this is what i think of this.

Bought this after struggling online to find a single hutch 4ft in size! Took about 10 mins for me (single female) and my 12 yr old son to put together. Very easy and we had a 2 floor hutch before but this one seems more spacious. Rabbit still inside at the moment so hope he likes it as much as we do when he's back outside.

not very big and not fox proof

fox was able to pull base out then tip cage up and was able to get my guinea pigs .
dont buy if you know you get foxs in your garden

This product is too small for even dwarf rabbits. It would be suitable as a base as long as the rabbit is NEVER shut in there. Other possible ideas to make this a good home for a rabbit could include fixing a play pen to it creating more space for the rabbit to stretch out and hop.

The RWAF Rabbit welfare and trust fund states that the requirement for rabbits are a hutch/cage size of 6' x 2' x 2', which allows rabbits some room to move, stand on their hind legs and enough space for the food, toilet and sleeping areas to be kept apart.

this would be fine with a large run attached but on its own is far to small... and unfair to the rabbit/s

I bought this hutch in the store as a new home for my 2 rabbits. It was easy to assemble, took minutes. The quality is what you would expect really, they are all much more expensive than they should be for a few bits of wood and screws but that's just how it is everywhere. It's sturdy enough, I cover it with clear polythene to prevent it getting wet and blown about which helps extend it's life. In terms of the size, it's a decent size for 2 small rabbits I would say, but ONLY if you have a large run attached to it, which I do. I don't believe any rabbit should be kept in a hutch without a run and access to a garden or grassy area for exercise. I have a mini rex and a belgian hare (which is pretty big) in mine, but they have a 6ft run attached and the hutch and run are inside a large pen which they have access to daily.

great product and design, easily cleaned however the tray at the bottom leaves a gap so wood gets urine stains and poo stuck in it . also it is not that far of the ground. easy to put up and more roomy than you'd think though no more than 2 guineas .i would not recommend for rabbits. bed area is very large. door gets stuck sometimes though saying all this i would say it is an amazing cage and would highly recommend it, if you want a better incite there are some videos on you tube of it.

We have the hutch indoors,it is fine for one rabbit,was very easy to put together.I dont think it would be good for outside,you would need a cover,not very thick or solid,but fine if being put in garage or cellar.

Great Product apart from my rabbits have learnt how to open the cage door which is a pain but apart from that it is great especially the section between the living are and the bedroom the hay rack slots on lovely :)

Our 2 guinea pigs have lived in this hutch for about a year and a half but I'm starting to consider a replacement as they have been able to chew the wooden side panels and I'm worried they'll escape. We had the hutch indoor when they were young but the removable floor meant that urine and droppings escaped from the hutch and damaged our flooring.It's been outside for a year with a hutch cosy and cover and the guinea pigs seem happy.

Was slightly too small for two guinea pigs after they had grown into adults. Need to also purchase a run if you are thinking of purchasing this product to allow enough exercise for your furry friends.
