My huge syrain hamster loves this cage has loads of space. Nice size cage for syrain hamsters . The house that comes free is too small for a syrain and the platforms are weak . Could have interchangeable accessories inside as we had to buy a ladder for him to climb .the cage could be abit stronger where the bars are.the large lid is great and we can put ball inside so he goes in himself

My 'hammy' was in a pink palace for a year and we had attachments added to it, but it was small and cramped and she could not fully stretch her body or legs as she should be able to. She basically out-grew the pink palace so after much deliberation I bought this for her yesterday. Now she has loads of space can stretch climb have a good run through the tubes and around the cage.

It's really bigger than expected. Has a really good waterbottle and acessories with it too, but we don't use the small hide-away that cam with the cage it's too small instead we put her bedding under the bottom shelf of the cage and she has her nest under there.

Like all hampsters she bites the bars but that comes with having hampsters. The other great thing is I have added a spinning wheel instead of the wheel that came with the cage as it was too small.

So brilliant cage all-round really. I suppose the true test will be to give it time and see how she goes. But so far it meets all the expectations from a cage.

I have got my syrian hamster for a little bit longer than a year now and when he was a baby we bought him this cage which was absolutely brilliant for him as he was still quite small. We replaced the wheel with a big flying saucer and added on a few more tubes. However, when he reached his full size and length we realised it is way too small for him so we bought him another cage, the same one again and connected those two with tubes which is really good. So he effectively had a playpen and 'normal' cage. i would definitely recommend it to syrian hamster owners when using two cages as one is not fair on the hamster as he/she needs more space...
The only downside is (but then again depends on the hamster) that my hamster loves chewing on the plastic and as someone else has already mentioned, managed to chew a hole next to his water bottle and nearly escaped. Lemon juice or anti chewing spray helped either. He's got most toys that they sell at pets at home, enough wood to chew on, a knawing stick and we play with him for hours every night, so he's just a chewer... but overall i think this cage is a good home for hamsters :)

I find this cage is too bulky and I find that even tho I clean the cage every week it still smells plus my hammy loves climbing the bars and I fing that she can't in this cage so I have had to buy her a new one for the price I think it should have a attractive design and have a opening on the front of the cage to get access to the food bowl and my hammy instead of taking the top off to get her out

I have a Syrian hamster in this cage. I got it after she escaped form a tank that I had spare.

Firstly I'd say the tank is a decent size, and it can be bigger as I have added a few tubes onto it, which can be ordered in from pets at home, also a great thing!
Also smaller versions of this cage could be added for more rooms as hamsters would have in the wild.
I have taken the top shelf out an put a newer bigger wheel in as the small one it came with was not only noisy it was far too tiny for a Syrian! She bent in half to try run on it an even then it caught on the floor so she just sat!
The little house has gone as well as she made a bed under the first floor.
I don't think she understood how to use the water bottle either so I have a bowl for her water as that's a little more natural.
Other than the the wheel, house and bottle I think the actual cage is good, only accessories I'm not keen on, hence the 4 stars.
I would buy it again.

We purchased this cage for our single dwarf hamster and he seems to love it! I wanted the largest cage I could find for him and this is roomy enough for him to have lots of toys without being cramped. I love that there are two additional levels and our hamster seems to love the tube.

We have made a couple of improvements though, The wheel is of poor quality and rattles. When bedding is added to the base of the cage, the wheel is too low and cannot spin properly. In addition, I would suggest that the wheel is rather too small for a Syrian. We switched the wheel supplied for a 'Silent spinner' wheel which is much larger and easier for him to use and fits perfectly on the first shelf.

Also, we got rid of the little house as he didn't use it and prefers instead to nest under the first shelf. We've also changed the fitting for the water bottle, although to be fair this works pretty well and does hold the bottle in place quite well. The only other thing is that the cage did not come with was a ramp down from one side of the tube (not sure if it should have?)

Other than that it's a solid cage. I would probably not recommend this for a Syrian as I feel it's on the smaller side fpr this species once all their toys and things are added, but for a single dwarf it's perfect. Just be careful that the clips are always secrurely fastened!!

I bought this for my Russian Dwarf Hamster, as I was looking for the largest cage I could find.

She loves the cage, she's always running through the tube and running up and down the ramps. She doesn't sleep in the little house, preferring to create her nest under the lowest shelf, but the little house makes an excellent place to unpouch treats!
Because it's such a large cage with the various shelves, you can add lots of extras like seedbars and toys to create interest for the hamster. The lid is nice and big so it's easy to pick your hamster up without having to awkwardly struggle with a small hatch. The water bottle fixing is great, a real improvement from previous methods I've tried in the past.

The only Cons I can think of are that the lid comes off easily if you bend it back, so you have to be conscious of this. The paint chips off if the hamster chews the bars (which they all do) and it's so big that it's impractical if you need to carry it around e.g. to the vets, but this can be overcome by using a carrier.

It does take patience and time to assemble at first, but once this is done, taking it apart to clean and putting it back together is straightforward.

The pros outweigh the cons, though, and as so many cages are so small, I think this is definitely worth considering if you can afford it.

Bought this cage today after my beautiful Syrian hamster Hetty had outgrown her old one. She loves it so much! It's quite compact as cages go but is a lot taller which is perfect if you don't have a lot of space for a large cage. I felt Hetty was getting quite bored in her old cage but she seems so much happier in this one. Only thing I would say is be cautious with the tunnel as Syrians can get quite big and may get stuck but I've had no problems they're usually quite good at squeezing through small spaces anyway!

Brilliant cage, nice colours, plenty of room for the hamster to move around. He loves climbing up and down the 3 different levels and whizzing through the tunnel. Only downside is the wheel, its too stiff and doesnt actually move when hamster tries to run, we've got rid of the wheel and bought a 'flying saucer' which he loves. Looks hard to clean but is actually quite easy if u take it apart.
