Cute But Not That Great

I bought this product as I've wanted it for a long time but never actually bought it. I got it for my pets for a Christmas present since there was two I could give one to my rabbit, George and one to my hamster, Lightning. Although I know they're quite small for a rabbit it did say on the packet it was fine and, since there was two I thought I might as well. I first put it in Georges cage thinking he'd most likely ignore it, oh how wrong I was! From the moment I put it in his cage he started chewing it and tossing it around! Then I tried it with Lightning, when I bought them I actually thought Lightning would like them and George would just leave it again, I was wrong. It was the opposite with Lightning when I put it in his cage there was a small sniff a very small nibble and that was it! From then on he just ignored it. For what it is it is quite expensive and Lightning would rather have plain tissue to play with! I may in the not-so-near future buy this again just for George but not for awhile. However it does look cute in lightnings cage but then again it does take up extra space so I may take it out. Still great idea and I think it just depends on the pet.

These little books are really cute, have loads of pages for your small pet to rip up and are great value for money, but my hamster doesn't seem interested, I put one in his cage and he hasn't touched it. Nice idea if you have a hamster who chews. But my young Syrian hamster doesn't seem interested.

my hamster loves this! I also gave one to my rabbit and he had a little rip at it. my hamster is so funny to watch as he sits there with his little paws ripping it up. not only is it fun for him it' s also funny for us to watch him. he sometimes tries to squash the whole book into his house!! I feel happy knowing that the pages are fruit flavoured so he is safe to even eat it if he wished. such good value for money at basically one pound a book. it also gives him physical and mental exercise !!!

Very cute, and my gerbils love it! They spend ages ripping up all the pages into multicoloured bedding! It is a very good price but doesn't last very long with gerbils as they get through it very quickly!

Fabolous toy and definitely worth the money. My guinea pigs Sugar and Spice love it, they chew on it 24/7 and never get board with it. It is one of the best toys you could possibly buy for the price. You would not be unhappy if you bought this product.

I put the whole book into my hamster's cage and he nibbled at it slightly - he wasn't sure what to do with it. He tried pulling the paper out, but it's better and easier for him if I tear single sheets of paper out and leave them around his cage. He tears them up and uses them for part of his bedding or to amuse himself. Either way, he spent ages chewing them up! There's plenty of paper in each of the little books, so it'll last for a while!

As the other comments say i guess they aren't too good for hamsters but I would recommend for mice,my two little girls Minnie-Mouse and Nihya loved it ,and, as it tells you as a bed.
