I have had many cat flaps over the years. This one is unboubtably the best yet. Very strong, easy to fit and setup. Previous cat flaps have broken due to a flimsy construction. This cat flap looks and feels much stronger that others on the market.

Other reviewers have stated that the cats won't use it, my 2 cats took a couple of days to adjust and now come and go without problem.

No mention of compatibility issue on the box or in the instructions

I bought this cat flap because I liked the selective entry and exit features.
However, since installing this cat flap, I have spent an inordinate amount of time trying to make it work. It seems to have a mind of its own; it locks whenever it feels like it, it doesn't open when it should, and I think an awful feature is the noise it makes when unlocking- my cat is terrified and it puts her off using it. I have changed the batteries, and removed any metal objects that could be affecting the mechanics but there's no change.
It could just be a faulty one that I've bought, but if so, that'll be two faulty cat flaps I've bought from pets at home (I bought a microchip activated one before but that didn't work either).
All in all, this has been more hassle than it's worth, and I'm going to have to buy a manual cat flap now, just hoping to find one the same size as this one so it'll fit in the door!

This cat flap is a waste of money, do not be mislead by it's claims of what it can do. It works well when setting up but does not work when disc is around cats collar. When the disc is around the cats collar it is to far away from the scanner to detect it. It also does not have a manual open/close latch, for manual use, ended up having to tape the disc to the flap in order for it to work until I could purschase another better working flap.If I was anyone looking for a cat flap stay well away from this one.Not worth [$] I paid for it.Luckily it's hole is the same size as other cat flaps.Recommend buying the "Sureflap" if your cat has a microchip, it works really well.

This is a durable and well designed cat flap and in theory should work well.
We have had several cats for many years. Our current cat is getting on a bit and doesn't have the strength to warn off other cats stealing his food. Therefore we decided to go for this model. Despite our cat already being able to use cat flaps (13+ years using one) this flap doesn't work for him. The problem is he always wants to try to open the flap with his paw first, this generally isn't a problem getting out but as there is a step up to the door from the outside it means the collar is too far away to be detected when coming back in.
I guess if your cat just attempts to open the flap with their head this shouldn't be a problem.
The installation instructions say the bottom of the flap should be 6" off the ground, however we have 8" from the ground to the bottom of the door and a total of 14" to the bottom of the flap, hence why I guess the collar is not being detected.
I wouldn't want you to write this product off as it looks good and when testing the flap it works, it's just not working for my cat!
I think the main flaw is that the sensor is not activated until an attempt to open the flap is made
