If you're travelling abroad, you'll need to make sure you have an up-to-date Pet Passport for your dog. This is part of the Pet Travel Scheme, and ensures that dogs transported between countries have been vaccinated against diseases and registered for travel.
In order to obtain a pet passport, your dog must have a microchip and must have been vaccinated against rabies. Speak to your vet about gaining a passport, as they will help you fill out all of the relevant paperwork and check that your dog is fit for travel.
