I bought this ointment for my springer spaniel who has taken to chewing the pads on her feet. The ointment seems to sooth the sore spots and the irritation. It does smell vey strongly of burnt wood/charcoal (that doesn't wash of you hands) but it is the only ointment I have tried that she doesn't just lick of immediately so we can live with the smell.

Having experienced 4 vet visits over the course of a year with my German shepherd i stumbled upon this product whilst buying some food. They had failed to diagnose the problem and after paying for various drugs from an extremely reputable vets at significant cost I thought i'd give this a shot. Your dog will smell like a bonfire but it didn't bother her at all and her red raw stomach completely cleared within a week. She is now back to herself. I don't know what caused her problem and can't confirm it will work for everyone but it's certainly worth a go. Only wish i'd found it sooner.

My puppy drew blood after being shaved to close at groomers this product did not even make him flinch, so must be gentle he stopped itching and soothed his skin. Agree with other review smells like coal and smokey smell but good value have loads left. Would recommend!

easy to apply,very effective,great value for money. only thing is its smells like coal really bad as that is the main ingredient but well worth it and get use to smell.
