This is a brilliant cage, at first, we had the critter trail cages. We thought that the were too small so we decided to get a gerbilarium. It's brilliant, there is nothing wrong with it my gerbils love going in the play tunnel and along the levels. People have said that their gerbil got its leg caught in the bars on the level, but, my gerbils had never experienced the bars and they were fine on them. Just keep an eye on them though. I put the play tunnel underground so the gerbils go underground having fun! The food bowl and water dish are fine. The water bottle doesn't leak at all and is easy for the gerbils to drink out of. This cage is very big, bigger then you would expect which is brilliant perfect.

I use the extra large Gerbilarium for my two male Gerbils, Lennie and Geroge.
This product is great, it comes with a water bottle, food bowl and a play tube so you don't have to worry about spending more money on them. It is very spacious and roomy.
I think the only problem is that the bars were too big bit my Gerbils got used to it. Also the water bottle is a bit heavy and kept tipping over but its was easy to sort out.
I know people say you can't clean it too well but I just take the top part off and cleam it in the bath. Also other people say you can't get you hand in properly but again I just take the top bit off and its fine. I think that the door at the front is fine and im not bothered that there is no side door. Over all I think it is worth the money you pay for it.

This is a great product. When it arrived it had so much room for my two gerbils, Lily and Laya, two play in i didnt need to worry about boredom or not being able to fit their wheel or toys in. My gerbils love to play, so this gerbilarium is perfect. It's also easy to clean as my other gerbilarium was too hard to clean. Only thing is - it doesn't have a side door.

I bought this for my syrian hamster Crumble as many of the cages marketed for syrians are too small. I was surprised at how spacious it was, and my hamster loves running up and down the shelves. The only 2 problems I have is that 1. The shelves are lined with gaps, which means your gerbil/ hamster could get its paws trapped. I am going to line mine with cardboard though, so that will soon be fixed. 2. There is no side door, which makes the access harder and it is harder to get your pet out, especially in the taming process. Otherwise, a great gerbilarium not just for gerbils :)

A very large Gerbilarium. Bigger than expected. Only thing that disappointed me is that there's no side door as I have the other Gerbilarium too, which is a little smaller... I wanted to attach it and use tubes for the gerbils to get from one cage to another...
However, on receiving this product, I noticed it was large enough anyway and my two gerbils love it, so I'm still very happy with it. =)

This cage is excellent for gerbils it has lots of space for them to play and move around it's really easy to clean. You add to it lots of things to it. It is great and i recommend it to everyone who has or is getting a gerbil.

This gerbilarium is easy to set up and quite spacious, however I would not call it "extra large" and I don't think it's large enough for the price. The water bottle is not very good, it is hard to keep straight & constantly leeks, it was empty within a couple of hours. My gerbils were previously in a tank, so they are not used to walking on the metal bars and sometimes their little feet fall through the bars, so I have to keep an eye on them to make sure they don't get hurt, at least until they get used to it.

There is only one con I can think of about this cage. That is, the bars on the platform are very wide and I worry about my gerbils' delicate feet. But It doesn't bother me too much since I cover the platforms with cardboard.
Other than that, this cage is PERFECT for 2 or 3 gerbils! I wouldn't squeeze 4 in here because it would start to get cramped. I have 3 boys and they love it. It is worth the extra money and you won't regret it! It has a very big door at the front so you can access everything easily. But what I love is, there is also a good gap between the platform and the door so you can reach into the tank section but it still leaves plenty of room for the platform.
It was bigger than I thought it would be but it is surprisingly compact. We have ours on a shelf on the landing and it never gets in the way.
In conclusion, this is the best gerbil home you can buy but if Pets At Home were going to improve it, please put in solid platforms.
