I stupidly bought this bed for our 4 month old Labradoodle pup as I love all things soft and snuggly and thought she`d be so comfy and snug in this at night-which she was BUT it was just a shame that after 2 days of normal wear and tear and nesting the seem came apart at which time she decided to empty out the filling!! I thought shall I sew it up? Then thought if its like this now what about after many washes!! Read the other reviews too late about the very poor quality of the bed seems but decided to take it back to our Stafford store.So glad I did the man that served me was so helpful,apologetic and very understanding showing me other "harder wearing" options.Couldn`t fault their Customer Service and our Pup loves her new bed (just hope this one lasts!!)

This is a postscript to my previous comment and I have awarded 5 stars as I returned the product as it split at the seams after washing, this has been replaced with no fuss by Pets at Home, Excellent customer service and hopefully this one will stand the test of time (washing). It does appear a slightly thinner more robust bed, so I wonder if I had the last of the batch previously that could have been faulty. WELL DONE PETS AT HOME FOR REPLACING WITH MINIMUM FUSS AND EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE

This bed was lovely and soft and we used it in our 13 week old labrador puppy's crate and he settled well and seem to love it. Alas after 4 weeks and 3 washes the seams have split and they have frayed making it difficult to sew up. I am so disappointed that something that appeared so good has turned out a bad buy due to splitting and fraying at seams.

Having tried unsuccessfully for 5 weeks to get our golden retriever puppy to sleep in her crate we gave up and bought a plastic bed and this mattress. She snuggled down straight away and we now have no barking or whining at bedtime. She looks so comfortable in her new bed and the crate has now gone! The only down side is that the base is very slippy so have had to put a rubber mat under it as our puppy was quite scared when it moved. It would also be good if it came in a darker colour. Apart from these negative points dog and humans love it!

Love how soft it is and my puppy seems very comfy however when washed all the stiching has come undone at the side, have sown it up once and now the other side has come undone and the stuffing has come out. Will look for a different one now, one that may be doesn't fall apart when washed!!!!

I purchased 2 of these about a year ago, they are still as good as new, after many washes. I would say that when I purchased mine the underside was a silky slippy material, lethal if someone trod on them whilst on a carpet as it slid along and you could easily loose yur footing. Reading the ad now it seems that both under and over are of the same plush material which is great.

Bought this to put on the floor when our dog is in his play pen and also for use in his crate. The dog loves it, but as he is young and not fully house trained yet, he's still having the odd accident so this bed gets washed frequently. He had a bad day recently and there was a lot of pee under the bed and a nasty black stain on the lino floor from the bed where the colour had run. This was quite an expensive item and I'd expected better -my kitchen lino is ruined if I can't get the staining off it.

We bought the dog bed in store for our beagle puppy, it felt so soft and comfortable we couldn't resist! The pup loves it and spends all his time on the bed whether it be sleeping, playing or chewing, the bed keeps him warm and comfortable. We are planning on getting a bigger bed for the pup as he is getting bigger but the original bed will be used in the back of the car as it is a perfect fit! We have never had issues with the filling moving inside the bed, it hasn't slipped when being stood on even though it is mainly on wooden floors. Would definitely recommend to dog owners.

I got the large version of this bed as it perfectly fits my car and I was looking for something comfortable for my golden retriever. I tried her with it in the car and she wouldn't settle on it. Thinking this was strange as she usually settles well I brought it inside and put it in her favourite spot. I soon became aware of why she's not keen on it when my Mum and Dad both seperatly stepped on it and went flying. The base itself isn't the cause of the problem, the filling slides badly on the bottom. The comfort of the bed is appreciated but only as a very expensive pillow as my dog will only rest her head on it whilst she lies on another matress. Each of my Mum's dogs have tried it and have all come to the same conclusion. A real dissapointment.

I bought this for my 11 year old border collie. It has proven to be her favourite bed ever. So much so, she now has two - one for upstairs and one for downstairs . She just sinks into it and relaxes. It's so soft and cosy.
