We bought this to play tug with our belgian shepherd who likes to tug on this lead when excited/happy. This only lasted about 1 week before the rope came away from the centre plastic cross. A few days later within 5 mins of the start of the walk with him tugging/chewing the rope he had bitten through it completely. Do not let you dog have this toy unsupervised and definitely not worth the money.

Claims to be Ruff and Tough. Our 6 month Border Collie had it for about 2 hours before he had chewed through the rope making it totally useless. What a Total waste of money. DO NOT BUY

When I first unpacked this tugger from the delivery box I thought it would be too tough and heavy for my small dog,More suitable for a bigger breed..But she pitched straight in and wanted me to play. The rope is thick enough to get a good grip and she tugged and growled with excitement. After a while my arm ached and I stopped for a moment.Having no one to tug against she attacked the plastic bit in the middle that holds the rope in shape. And before I could stop her she had chewed off and swallowed some. So that's another one for the bin !!!.

We have a 6 month old collie cross husky who pulled on one part of the toy with his paws and the other end with his teeth and one end of the loop came away from the centre! its just glued in poorly. he's not interested in it now so a complete waste of money. Pets at home need to look into this toy as it isnt suitable as a rough and tough toy

My Mum bought this for our 9 month old Staffy Puppy thinking it would last
It made it 48 hours before the rope had completely unravelled and we had to throw it out
Given what it costs and the fact that it is labelled as ruff and tuff this is disgraceful

We have an Alsatian cross who destroys his toys easily. We were under the assumption that this was a tough toy but he chewed the plastic center too easily therefore leaving the toy useless.

I bought this product this evening to give to my staffy cross. Within 2 mins, he managed to undo one side of the 'figure of 8', so the rope has now unraveled. This would be a good product for a smaller dog which doesn't have the jaw power to destroy it instantly or if you take the product off the dog after you have finished play.

This was a gift to my dog and my puppy. The centre was destroyed by the big dog as soon as received. The name of 'Ruff and Tuff' is completely misleading as it has no durability at all. When a product is described as 'Bite me' and 'Heavy Duty' with a chewability rating of 4 then I do not expect it to be destroyed as soon as received.

The plastic centre of this toy was destroyed in minutes by my 6 month Cockerpoo. Looked sturdy so I bought it to replace other chew toy that he'd chewed to pieces. Won't be buying this brand again. The name implies that it will stand up to at least a bit of rough treatment.

my rottweiler loved this.it lasted quite awhile, maybe 6 or 7 weeks but when he got bored he decided to chew it for about 20 mins which broke it at the middle. would be good for dogs who don't chew things a lot.
