Great tank, but small

This is a beautiful tank. I have a male fighter fish in it currently, and he clearly loves the tank, but I may add a couple of small fish in the future. It is a small tank (approx 30cm x 30cm) and would fit on most tables, making it ideal for smaller spaces. The light is also good.
What I would say is this is *not* suitable for larger tropical fish or goldfish. Goldfish require a surprising amount of space, and larger tropical fish would not have enough room. Goldfish in partcular are also quite messy fish - this small tank would be hard to maintain well with them in. They may be often described as a beginner's pet, but they're not really! Small, easy to look after tropical fish - such as a male fighter fish, guppies or tetras - are ideal for this tank (although be careful about which fish you put in with a male fighter - they don't like other male fighters or guppies for example). You would need to buy a heater and tank thermometer, but look at it as a small investment, as it is worth it. It doesn't need a big heater - I have a 50w.
I've also found water evaporates quickly from the tank - even as someone who has kept many fish before (tropical and goldfish) I'm surprised at the rate the water goes down. There is a 'minimum' and 'maximum' water level on the tank to ensure the filter works, and I find I need to add about a litre twice a week to ensure it doesn't fall below this level. A bit of a pain, particularly if you're in a hard water area and need to be especially careful about treating the water before adding it. I may add a lid, which can be bought separately, to see if that helps.

This tank is an excellent little display but not really a fish tank. It's more for display, you really shouldn't put no more than two fish in here at the most or maybe a couple of shrimp. But sounds really nice and looks the part but not for a budding aquarist.

The tank was so easy to start up and the instructions were really well detailed. i would recoment this to everyone! it is exellent and the waterful at the top is a lovely touch making a soothing sound

Brought this tank thinking that it would be great for my 3 chubnukins, however, the impeller that sources the filter is absolutely rubbish, it needs adjusting atleast twice a day. The tank has no spare room for any decorative items apart from the things that fit into the cube at the bottom. Makes a lovely water feature, but a very poor fish tank.
