I bought this product a while back as I was replacing the wheel for one of my syrian hamsters and had to wait for the wheel i wanted to be re-stocked so i bought this in the mean time, it was a bit awkward and my hamster didnt seem to like it i would say its a bit too small for syrians and its not like a wheel on this they are at a funny angle and when they stop it takes a while to stop spinning and i dont think my hammie liked the dizzy effect it gave him so he stopped using it, i would recommended this for smaller breeds of hamster or other smaller rodents.

It's so small my young, small Syrian just runs off of it. Have had trouble finding a decent wheel that actually works. This does not work at all. Maybe for Roberovskis.

I loved this flying saucer it was great! My dwarf hamster loves it and is on it every night! It is very safe and would choose this over an ordinary wheel!

My Syrian hamster was definitely too big for this product, i would say it was more suited to dwarf hamsters. She didn't quite know what to do with it and it takes up a lot more room in the cage compared to a standard wheel.

My Russian hamsters love it! The wheel that came with the cage was stiff and my little Russians couldn't move it but this is great and they can now pick up some speed in it! It is very quiet and only makes a slight rattle when they run on it. Overall a great product that i am very pleased i brought as my Russians are happier now they have a wheel that they can use :-)

My Robo loves it. It was funny to see him falling of it to begin with - although I was slightly worried about whether he could get hurt he just jumped up and got straight back on so it can't have bothered him. He has not gotten the hang of it and very rarely falls off! When he stops he just tends to go around with it until the wheel itself stops.

I brought the as the wheel that came with the cage was ver noisy and I got no sleep at all the first night. This wheel was definitely quieter however it has gotten more noisy with use. My Robo runs so fast on it though and part of the noise that can be heard is his feet on it as it runs. I now have agreement with my housemates to keep the hamster in the living room which means I sleep better but he still loves this wheel so it was money well spent I just wouldn't expect it to eliminate noise. My housemate who looked after him when I was away for a weekend while he was still in the bedroom slept fine with him in her room though so I must just be a lighter sleeper.

My little Gus goes crazy on his. It is noisy but i put some veg oil on and it hardly makes a sound now. These are great as your hamster dosn't bend their back like they do on a wheel. 10/10

After getting fed up of my Russian Hamsters old wheel which came with the cage (veryy loud) I looked to purchase one of the silent wheels. Such a better improvement! As her cage is in my bedroom I had to remove her old wheel at night but with this silent wheel I can keep it in due to little noise! Although it does make some noise it's not squeeky, just a soft smooth noise.
Took a few attempts for my hamster to get the hang of it as it's at an odd angle! Overall, very good!

My dwarf hamster loves the wheel and can pick up some speed on it to, but it does make a rattling sound when it goes round and it is very loud when you want to sleep. But it is easy to clean and gives her lots of excercise .

The flying saucer is a good product for dwarf hamsters but not really any good for syrians as this size is too small. I was advised in store that this size was 'perfect' for my syrian, but within a matter of 2 weeks she has outgrown it and I have had to trade it in for a 12". Great for dwarf hamsters but wouldn't recommend for anything bigger.
