This litter is great value however, since using this litter in our hamster's toilet I have noticed that the smell coming from the toilet is worst than it was when he didn't have a toilet!

My hamster knew how to use his potty and litter straight away. It makes cage cleaning 10 times easier as he only wee's in his litter pan and not all in his shavings/bed. He even wakes up in the day time to use his litter pan. However the only downside is, cleaning the pan itself. The litter turns into a gloopy clay mess once the hamster has used it and in my experience I have found that the litter (once used) sticks to the pan big time, not a big deal but it is not a pleasant job to clean off. He did change his mind at one point and decided to wee in a different corner instead of his pan, but i simply placed the pan in his new chosen corner, problem solved.

great product my hamster uses one corner of the cage so i put the litter in that one corner and it stops smells and makes it easier to clean

Bought this product after shop normally get usual litter from closed and haven't found new supplier. Bought two boxes as shop over 20 miles away and wish I hadn't wasted my money. The product turns into a messy mushy clay as soon as hamster has only used the toilet overnight. The product states it would save cleaning of the cage up to 30% but this is definately not the case. Each day I had to use it I had to clean the cage completey as it places a trail of white clay mush everywhere the hamster had been. It was totally inadequate to absorb anything and urine was visible as a white liquid. I have resorted to using cat litter until I can find another source of my usual litter (in a purple box)
