The Hooded Cat Litter Tray and Carrier by Igloo is a unique combined litter tray and carrier which will look good in any home.

Bringing together two of the most commonly use cat products and turning them into a single easy to use product is perfect for space constrained homes, whilst your cat will become familiar with the product and should be more comfortable during its travels.

Comes complete with:
5 x eco-friendly disposable liners to contain your cat’s preferred choice of litter;
4 x replaceable carbon filters to help keep your home odour free;
Removable smoked privacy plate for when the igloo is used as a cat loo included in the box;

The box itself is very spacious however the clips at the side are really difficult to undo. When you do get them undone lots of trapped litter falls all over the floor. I have now given up and removed all of the clips.

The actual box itself is fantastic - however I am no longer able to purchase the filters or the litter tray liners - therefore I cannot use the box anymore - this is VERY frustrating as I have now had to buy a new cat box only a matter on months after purchasing the Igloo one.

Weak door

The Igloo performs a great task in combining two bulky items but sadly that means there are compromises.

It is an excellent cat litter tray but a poor cat carrier. The two-way bottom opening door and the large lip make it extra difficult to get a cat into the carrier who doesn't want to go in (and I don't know any cats that willingly wander in!). Also the catches on the door are flimsy. I left my cat unobserved in the carrier for under 3 minutes and he had managed to break his way out, because the door opens both inwards and outwards he had just pulled it in on him until the catches gave way.

The product would be much better if it had a completely seperate door for when it is a cat carrier. One with hinges on the side rather than the top and much sturdier locks.

I'll continue to use the Igloo but I have to watch my cat the whole time he is in it and prevent him from attacking the door.

This is a great looking cat litter tray/carrier, but I can't really comment on it's effectiveness yet as a cat carrier, because at the moment it is only being used as a litter tray. The biodegradable trays are a brilliant idea, but you can choose not to use them. The design and build quality is excellent and you get the Igloo life time guarantee, (just register online). My Siamese cat has no problem with the roundish shape and has more room inside to do her thing.[...] I would thoroughly recommend this product to any cat owner. Also this price was the best online.
