One of the best value feeds I've found.

The initial impression of this product is that it is not cheap. However, since the dog requires so much less of this than other foods, it actually turns out to be one of the best value foods around. If you can afford to buy it on bulk during promotions, it is startlingly good value. It also has one of the lowest diet adjustment time-scales that I have come across, making it one of the most flexible brands I have used.

I have fed my current dogs on it since we acquired them. I discovered it on veterinary advice during the life of my previous dogs. All dogs have eaten it with evident enjoyment.

As well as being good value, the fact that the meals are smaller has an additional side benefit: stools are significantly reduced, which is a bonus to those who would like to do as little cleaning up dog waste as possible. Another benefit I discovered with my previous dogs is that, since the food is more fully digested, there is less coprophagia than before: there is no nutritional value to the dog in re-consuming his own waste, so he stopped doing it.

The dogs' breath and odour are noticeably less than on most other feeds I have used. In particular, there is none of the fishy smell associated with budget brands.

All in all, I cannot recommend this product too highly. It would take something quite remarkable to persuade me to try anything else.

Bought this as a treat for my Springer as I wanted to see if there were noticeable differences in a more expensive food. Palatability and stools were fine, but unfortunately the most noticeable difference was the strong odour my dog developed whilst on this food. He had a meaty/sweaty teenager type smell, inspite of the daily hose down he gets after his walk. Not desirable, didn't stay on the food for more than a few weeks and smell went once back on Pedigree.

Both my dogs have had been on an Iams diet from when they where puppys.
They both have great coats and temperment and always regular on time.
Iams dog food is a great complete food for dogs we cant ask for more from this product it delivers 100%.
