After adding new Aquatic Sand to my tank, it left the water incredibly murky and cloudy. After doing a 60% water change and leaving the filter/aeration running for hours and doing filter cleans, it was still cloudy. I bought some Filter Aid to get the water clear - Best choice I made! It took just minutes to work and left my water completely clean. I left it for half hour - hour just to make sure the water would be safe for my fish. After testing the water the conditions were perfect for my fish to go back in. Recommend this product everytime!

Would not recommend!!

Bought it to clear water after cleaning etc. I added the product to the tank when it was cloudy (fish healthy though) and used the recommended amount for my tank and it instantly turned the water brown. 5 minutes later the water was even cloudier and the fish looked ill (sitting completely still at either the top of the tank or on the gravel). After an hour or so, the fish didn't look any better. My red tail shark and clown Loach looked worse (literally looked like they were about to die). The fish did pick up eventually after about 2 days. I strongly disrecommend this and will in future do water changes to clear cloudy water instead of this. The only good point is that my water was crystal clear within 2 hours.

Used the recommended dose for my tank size. Water remained cloudy but took on a brown colour. Did not clear after two days.

Was recommended this by a friend and within a couple of hours of adding it to cloudy water was amazed how well it cleared it. I now add 10ml (less than recommended) to a 19g tank after vacuuming and doing partial water changes which quickly clears all the stirred up gunk and maintains my water clarity beautifully.
One thing I have noticed is that for a start it makes your water cloud up more but soon clears.

Once you've worked out your dosage, pop it into your tank. If your water is a bit cloudy, that will change in just a few minutes. Great product, and I highly recommend it.
