The Johnsons Cage And Hutch Spray 250ml Aerosol contains Permethrin - plus a long lasting insect growth regulator (LGR).

It kills fleas, mites and lice in your pets housing and living quarters i.e. cages,hutches,baskets,kennels etc.

My Guinea Pig lives in his lovely hutch in our garden and when cleaning him a few weeks ago discovered a few earwigs. There were only about 5, so I scooped them out and forgot about it. Then the next week there were lots more. I started to look for solutions and although the description on the website doesn't state it, this also deals with beetles like earwigs.

I used this for the first time today and was amazed at the result! I swept out the hutch and most of the bugs, disinfected then sprayed this around. It was a white, citrusy smelling spray. It looked a bit like a deodorant. When the foggy-ness cleared it was a bit horror-film like. All these earwigs (and a spider) came crawling out if the gaps in the wood and the joins. They were all writhing around and it was really gross!

I left it for 30 mins while occasionally scooping out the bugs. I then put in the bedding and toys and finally my Guinea Pig. He doesn't seem to notice it has been used, by I am already happy that there are no earwigs crawling around.

Overall I am pleased with how instantly this product worked and how good the results were for such a low price. However it is not suitable for use by people with asthma or similar conditions as I did struggle to breathe and I was using it in the garden. It also is a bit horrific, so not something that young children or squeemish adults would enjoy.

use this from may till october and am always impressed by the large insect kill, i know my rabbits are safe with the spray and its a must if you have lots of garden birds( i.e ticks and lice)
