I thought, with this being Kong, and with the squeaker being hidden inside, this would last a long time. The squeaker died after all of 5 minutes. The join where the ends are glued on is weak, so as soon as my dog chewed the ball, the seam broke and the squeaker no longer works.

My dog loves a squeaky ball, but the tennis balls with a squeak in don't last 5 minutes as she will pull out the squeaker in no time. So I was looking for something that might last longer and found these. They are more expensive than tennis balls, but they last a lot longer. My dog adores it, she'll sit with it in her mouth squeaking away for hours (the joy!!). She destroys most toys within 5 minutes of having them but so far, she's had her latest Kong ball for a month and its still going strong. I would also add that they are a lot easier to spot in the grass than tennis balls are.

I've had dogs for 30 years now and have never bought a squeaky toy that lasted more than 30 minutes. I now have a border collie who can destroy all toys except Kong toys in about 5 minutes, especially squeaky ones. As this is a Kong toy, I thought I would give it a go and bought for a Christmas present for Blue. Not only does he love it, but he still has it after taking it to the park twice a day since Christmas Day! It is a great ball which bounces erratically so Blue loves chasing it; he also very much enjoys a victory squeak, which makes all the other dogs jealous. Can't recommend this highly enough.

My four year old GSD loves this ball and can get bored easily with toys! The squeak seems to last and it even floats in water which is essential for walks! I would recommend this ball!

I bought this for my very destructive Border collie / Kelpie puppy. He loves it. This is definitely one of his favourite toys. Most toys he has had apart in a matter of days if not hours. Admittedly the centre of the ball has now come unstuck after months of being played with nearly all day everyday, but I am surprised it has lasted this long. Definitely worth every penny and I will be buying another one for our now more grown up puppy.

I've had two of these despite the expense, because I was trying to get our new rescue dog interested in playing ball, these did the trick but the squeak lasted minutes and then stopped. He is a staffy/unknown terrier cross and only young so does like to chew, he did manage eventually to make a hole in the ball but they were quite durable and both the balls were lost rather than destroyed but for the money I would have expected the squeak to last longer - good as a ball not as a squeaking ball!
