easy ish to install after i'd changed the glass in my door to MDF. But then it rained and my living room got a puddle in it! a bead of sealant around the edge on the outside sorted that fine.
Really does let in a draft though. I created an internal mini door which i can close and seals shut. better for the evenings and security as mine is straight into the living room.
Quality seems ok. 28kg dog and has lasted a year so far. not faded as others have said and still looks like new.
It does what it says at the end of the day so i'm happy.

Waste of money! Breaks within days.

Within a matter of days the outer flap had broken. Way too flmsy for what it is fit for. Buckles in and breaks in the middle as door itself is way to thin and metal plates are too small as are the magnets.

Magnetic strips (are they really worthy putting on?) are so weak that even the wind blows the centre door open!

Wish I had seen the reviews on this site and gone for the other make on the market and saved myself the purchase price of buying this model.

Understand there are spares available on reading reviews. But who expects to buy spares within days of purchase when it is apparent there is a problem in its the manufacture?

I am not usually inclined to comment on products but being a marketing manager I can't understand how staywell or pets at home have got away with selling such an inferior - unfit for purpose product for so long! I have a been through five of these in as many years, the last 2 I have lost proof of purchase so no replacement. Construction of this is flawed due to brittle plastic which is adversely affected by temperature and general use!
Im not alone, two further friends of mine have experienced the same breakage in the same area. I understand there is now an aluminum product on the market which I will be sourcing very shortly!

Outside frame discolours quickly within a few months due to UV to a yucky creamy yellow leaving a 'nice' frame for the white/opaque flap to stand out like a sore thumb. Outside fractures easily at the top. Inner sleeve fixings which cover the transistion over the opening hole, break because the 'push pins' are too flimsy and small leaving the 'hole' uncovered between the outside/inside frame.

Draught? Reconsider if your door/wall is in a windy location! Magnetic strip is not fit for purpose. Does not offer sufficient resistance. Previous homeowner bought one which broke after a year, for which she apologised for and I am on my second in as many years!

Difficult to find alternative 'serviceable' flap once hole has been cut so it is an expensive repeat buy for a few bits of plastic and a stip of magnet.

Pretty naff and it does not matter if properly fitted or not , mine was but product has flaws. Needs to be reassessd/designed or made lss expensive to enable users to purchase regularly!

We bought this door a while ago now and through out the summer it's been great. Our dog and cats use it easily with very little training needed. However now that the weather has started to change it's unfortunately not so good. To say it lets in a draft is an understatement. The magnets at the bottom are not strong enough to keep the door shut, so it just blows open. And the plastic door is not heavy enough to shut against the wind. So realistically I could have just cut a hole in our door, it would have the same effect in the winter but have been a lot cheaper.

my husband and son set this flap into a wooden frame.This fits in our sliding patio doors. Kevin can come and go into the garden when I am at work. Yes there is a lttle draft but its a small price to pay. Would buy another one if needed. The noise of Kevin coming in and out is nothing. Maybe its because it was fitted well.!! Kevin is a lab/retriever.

I really have lost count of the number of these I have bought due to the fact they break almost immediately. The current one I have did not even last a day and I only have a Jack Russell and a Patterdale cross Springer. Even before they break they let a howling draft with even the smallest amount of wind outside.
Staywell must be well aware of the issues but are clearly happy for customers to keep buying replacement flaps. It wouldn't be so bad if they weren't so eye wateringly expensive.
If you're considering this door or another make my advice would be to buy the other one.
A very poor product that is not fit for purpose.
