This litter is great a little more expensive than some,but cost evens out due to its absorbency and ability to mask smells,I have two cats and only need to do a full litter tray change once a week.The only downside is it does track and some litter tray scoops holes aren't big enough for you to just scoop the poo up you end up scooping litter too.One of my cats loves playing football with the tracked up bits,so I do end up with bits everywhere! Buts I find it entertaining so not really a problem.

This seems to get wet quite quickly which makes it difficult to clean out the tray. It's left with a sort of grey wet sludge. It doesn't do a great job when it comes to odour control either. Gets kicked everywhere too.

I love catsan. I have tried many (trying to reduce costs) but although it is a little more expensive it is worth it. It's easy to clean up, the smell is ok, it doesn't stick to the tray, it helps to reduce odour (urine) and I only need change it every 3 days roughly (I have 4 darlings however for indoor only cats it may need changing a little more often). It does leave a little trail near the trays exit but nothing major and it's easily swept up. Also the darlings have had no trouble using it from kitten to adult :)

Ignore the cost, this stuff lasts way way longer than other cheaper litters, I used to scoop solids daily and do a full change 4 times a week due to the awful smell and cheaper litter becoming saturated and solid - this stuff is amazing - solids scooped daily but a full change - at most - twice a week. No smell, it hardly looks used at all. Wonderful stuff, yes it costs more but you will find yourself using far far less.

Changing is so much less of a chore too, it is so simple to get rid off - no clagging or clumping together, no sticking to the litter tray.

Highly recommended.

I would and do recommend catsan to any cat owner! I have 5 cats, and you can never smell cat urine in our house!! I do clean the litter tray out everyday and keep on top of cleaning solids out, so I understand I do clean it alot more than some! But I've used it for years with my cats, and they all love it! I used an alternate brand once cos I couldn't get anywhere to buy catsan, and my cats refused to use litter tray instead urinating in various spots of my Lounge!!
Definitely use catsan!!

I love this litter, I have tried a number of litters and this is far the best. I only need to change the litter once a week (I have 2 cats sharing one tray) I scoop twice daily to remove solids and the urine is deeply absorbed with no odour. I do still sprinkle little freshener daily anyway just to make it smell nicer, that's just my preference. Fantastic, I wouldn't use anything. Also two pack for [$]WHAT A BARGAIN, not even ASDA can beat that. lol thanks Pets At Home :) Purrrrfect

I don't normally like writing negative reviews however I did not find this cat litter to be very good. I would clean the litter tray twice a day every day but could not get rid of the smell of a dirty litter tray. I suppose it may be good for a cat that uses a tray occasionally but not for an indoor cat that uses a tray frequently.

Picking out all the items for my new kitten, Catsan was my first choice of litter. I'd heard of it before, and it looked like good quality. My expectations weren't met in their entirety, for example, the smell is still quite bad (but maybe that's just my kitten - she had quite a dodgy tummy), and I'm finding bits of litter everywhere once Luna has used it (guess it can't be helped), but it is still a good product. It's clean, leaves the tray without sticky mess and it's easy to tell which areas need to be scooped out, as they turn a light grey colour, and it has pretty good absorbancy (but it could be better). I also have to use quite a lot of the litter in each 20ltr pack when I'm doing a full clean of the tray, but perhaps this is because of my large choice of litter tray. I like the offers that are sometimes given.
To sum up, it's an average product that just does it's job. If absorbancy is improved in Catsan, it could just be the best cat litter out there.
