Pets At Home Response: Hi
Thank you for contacting us.
There will be slight colouration of the water for a few hours although this will clear naturally. The form of the nutrients in the product was carefully developed to ensure that thy are kept stable in the product and that they remain fully bioavailable to the plants when dosed. A consequence of this means that the product is by its nature coloured (or think about the nutrients being locked in and protected from breaking down). Chelated iron especially is highly coloured.
There is a caution area on the label which details that if this product is spilt it will permanently stain clothes, soft furnishings, aquarium silicone and some types of rocks or décor, so it should not be unexpected that it may somewhat discolour the water. It is also mentioned in the directions for use that discolouration may occur. Natural tank processes quickly decolourise the product when unlocking the nutrients.
