Guinea Pigs, just like us can be fussy eaters and can be prone to eating only the parts of a traditional muesli food that they like, which can result in your guinea pig not receiving a balanced diet.

Nugget Food for Guinea Pigs by Pets at Home is a great choice, with all the essential nutrition of a muesli food blended into one tasty nugget.

Guinea Pigs, like humans, cannot produce their own vitamin C and must receive it via their food.

Nugget Food for Guinea Pigs by Pets at Home contains enhanced vitamin C to boost your guinea pigs immune system and maintain general health.

Your guinea pig’s diet should be supplemented with additional roughage, which can be provided through feeding hay like the Timothy Hay by Pets at Home.

Composition:

Wheat and Oat Bran, Grass Meal, Soya, Peas, Unmolassed Sugar Beet Pulp, Brewers Yeast, Vegetable Oil, Dicalcium Phosphate, Fructo-Oligosaccharides, Calcium Carbonate.

Analytical Constituents:

Moisture 10%, Protein 16%, Oils and Fats 3%, Fibre 16%, Ash 6.5%.

Feeding Guide (approximate per day)

30-50gm.

Please always ensure that fresh drinking water is available.

When feeding for the first time introduce gradually over 4 days.

My Princess Piggies refuse to eat any other nugget brand. I have tried them on a lot of brands and this is the only thing they sink their teeth into. For two(adult) piggies I give them 30 -40g in the morning, then the same in the evening. For my guinea pigs nothing else will do. If you are switching to another type of food; choose this. Don't pick out the muesli or expensive brands: choose this!

Hey my guinea pigs are nom nom noming on this food like crazy. My guinea pigs are very older guinea pigs so can't have alfalfa . Only as a treat. I'd been giving them burgess excel brand when I noticed a very small and soft lump on the side of my guinea pigs neck. You can feel around the back of it so its not attached to the body. We think its a fatty lump as I know my guinea pigs are getting chubby. So I decided to switch them to petsathome nuggets. Because I though the lump was from too much alfalfa. I did it gradually. At the start they didn't really like them but soon they thought that they had to eat as their greedy piggies but when they did they imediately got hooked. So I went on using it. I found out that these nuggets don't have alfalfa in it. Bonus. This product has made me feel comfortable with my guinea pigs health and it feel so good!! Thanks for reading. :)

My guinea pigs adore the stuff! Well that depends on how empty the food bowl is before we fill it up again. They live cheerful happy lives and are beautiful babies with lovely shiney fur and have a perfect pink noses. They also get some lettece or cucumber to keep them happy!

Not very good nutritionally when compared to the leading brand. Not much cheaper than the leading brand either. Will be looking on-line to purchase leading brand. Only the best for our guinea pigs!!!!!!!

I have decided to change my guinea pigs onto nuggets after they have spent almost a year on mixed food. I have chosen to do this as nuggets are better nutritionally for them. It is taking them a while to get used to them but I'm sure they will soon enjoy the nuggets

These are my first guinea pigs and they arrived on this food so i bought a bag to prevent tummy upsets.
I tried them on burgess blackcurrent after this which they loved and due to money issues i got a bag of P@H nuggets (nutritionally similar but cheaper than Burgess) and now they won't touch it, such a shame as i bought a big bag as they used to eat it.

our mum fills up our bowl in the morning and we have eaten the lot by evening.

she puts the bowl in our run so we have a choice of grass or food! and also in our hutch at night!

All 6 guinea pigs really like this food, took one of them a long time to get used to it as was trying to get her off mixed food and after a few weeks she (and every other guinea pig) loves it :) Doesnt have anything bad in it and is cheaper than the bigger branded guinea pig food out there. My guinea pigs eat about 4-5 scoops of this a day and there is never any left in the bowl in the morning.
