The Rabbit Cottage Indoor Hutch by Ferplast is a pretty indoor rabbit hutch divided into two floors, complete with accessories and equipped with an internal rabbit house.

Made with high quality nordic pine wood, it is painted using non toxic varnish in a soft pastel shade.The Rabbit Cottage features a lot of interesting and useful details:

2 slide out plastic trays for easy cleaning and maintenance.
Fully opening roof equipped with a supporting arm and special locking system.
Two storeys connected by ladders.
Plastic feeding Bowl.
Water Bottle.

The roof on the Rabbit Cottage is completely hinged to the hutch, making it very solid and robust.

Only suitable for one rabbit.

A rabbit or guinea pig should never permanently be kept in its cage and should be let out in a suitable run for exercise.

much to small

This product is too small for even dwarf rabbits. It would be suitable as a base as long as the rabbit is NEVER shut in there. Other possible ideas to make this a good home for a rabbit could include fixing a play pen to it creating more space for the rabbit to stretch out and hop.

The RWAF Rabbit welfare and trust fund states that the requirement for rabbits are a hutch/cage size of 6' x 2' x 2', which allows rabbits some room to move, stand on their hind legs and enough space for the food, toilet and sleeping areas to be kept apart.

*many people do not realise the cages are too small so give excellent reviews not knowing the cage is far to small for their rabbit to be happy and healthy*

bought this as a inside hutch for my rabbit as it is soon to be winter and she will get cold outside. The hutch itself is very spacious for my tiny netherland dwarf rabbit, with two floors and easy to clean pull out trays. The hutch also includes a bedroom area which my rabbit likes to spend most of her time in. The design of the hutch is very pretty with rabbits and grass painted onto it. The downside to this product as it is made out of wood my rabbit has started to chew on the walls especially in the bedroom. Also another thing which we had to do was stick some more panels onto the ladder at she struggled to get up and down, we also had to do this to her out door hutch too so it wasnt that much of a issue. all in all its a good hutch.

Bought for house rabbit. It's a good idea and design is good, but and it s a big but, the general construction, quality and finish are dreadful. For the premium price this product commands it should deliver much much more. Nightmare to put together, instructions very basic, locks in particular do not line up. The picture on the Pets at Home website is misleading as the house does not fit on the outside. Looking at the original spec on the Ferplast website this item has been substantially downgraded, to it's detriment.
