Freedom for dogs without good recall!

We have just adopted a 9 year old lab who has possibly never been on a lead before. He pulls terribly, chokes on his collar and has also escaped once and run off.

We use this lead (size large) and the Pets at Home Nylon Dog Harness (which stops the choking and makes it easier on our arms even if it doesn't stop the pulling). We wanted something tough, durable and comfortable which would allow our dog to run and explore without running off into the distance never to be seen again! This lead does just the job!

The handle is a good size, easy to hold and not too heavy. When he pulls, it doesn't 'give' so I feel confident that it isn't going to break. The length allows him to get the exercise he needs and gives us the opportunity to work on his recall without the risk of losing him.

Our first few walks on a normal lead and collar were difficult, stressful (for both me and the dog) and unproductive but with this lead and the harness they are now much easier and so much fun! We thought it was quite expensive when we first bought it however I now think it was worth every penny!

This lasted us 3 weeks before the dog decided he was gonna chew it and bit through in less than 5 minutes and he got away from me.

bought this lead instead of the cord leads after reading reviews and this is far superior!
small in size but plenty of room to hold onto, nice and comfortable.
a little bit on the heavey side but im quite a small person and its probably down to the 5m tape length weighing it down a tad. but its a minor setback
fits in my handbag great as its nice and small.
all round great lead would definitaly recommened for small dogs.

This is a great product which is very sturdily built (unlike some others!) It lets a dog have some freedom on walks whilst still being fully under control. It is also useful for "recall" training.
