I was very sceptical that my cat would use this item but, based on the reviews I decided to buy it anyway. I got him used to it gradually, first without the hood, then with the door taped back and within a week he was using it properly. It is so good I am about to buy another one for my new cat.

I like this covered litter tray as it is so pretty, but the shape is also good. It is more upright than most & so fits neatly against the wall.

I doubted that this litter tray would work as described and that my cat would use it. I bought it on the strength of the other reviews and was not dissapointed. It hold odours in, reduces mess and is nicer to look at than an open tray. The only slight criticism I have is that it could do with being a bit bigger all round. My cat is large and does look a bit squashed in it, other than that great product.

i bought this as i have a very messy kitten, she likes to flick the litter out of the tray. Also she is very shy when she uses her tray so this seemed an appropriate solution. After removing her "traditional" tray and placing the covered loo in it's place she explored immediately and loves the privacy it gives her.. and i love the lack of litter on my floor :) Big thumbs up for this product :) i would also add that the filter reduces the smell greatly.

I recently bought this cat loo from our local store after reading reviews online...i was very happy with this product, its pretty design doesnt make it look dull and boring like any other cat loo on the market, it is very strong and easy to clean with lid to hide away the scoop! Plus the height is very good aswel since we have a bengal cat she can still fit inside with no problems at all. We had to tape the flap up for first day for her but now she will happily go in and out with flap down. Keeps odours in too which is great. Anyone buying this cat loo will find it great!

bought two of these approx 3 years ago they are great, cats love them and so do we. we have four cats aged between 12 and 1 year old when i got my kittens took them less then a week to use it with flap down not a problem once they figger out the door they know where there going. the best thing about them is the smell OR should i say lack of smell they are great. bought other brand boxes for various rooms but they stink. these are the only boxes ive come across that dont let out odours which is a big YES with four cats. Could use new base trays now as stained and my hubby dropped one so cracked, however cant buy replacement bottoms for them but i dont think you can with any of the boxes on market. shame as top and door still fine and look new. would recommend buying these trays pay the bit extra to cheaper brands they last and are worth the money.

I have only just purchased this item, but it looks good, made well. And I have taken the advise of a previous buyer. At the moment I am using it without the lid so that my kitten can get used to it. The tray is large and deep. And the decoration on the lid makes it look more attractive. Very Happy with purchase. Thanks Pets at Home!!

Brought our new kitten home and as she had previously been used to an open top litter tray this one has been brillliant to introduce her to the hooded litter tray. This is because, unlike some of the cheaper hooded litter trays, the base of the tray is a similar depth to a standard litter tray. So we left the hood off initially just untill she was used to the location of her litter tray and could find it herself. We have then subsequently added just the hood on its own (with the door removed) so that she could get used to the height difference and finally have added the door and voila you have a kitten using a hooded litter tray.

In the top of the hood of the litter tray there is an area where you can put a filter (pets at home sell a universal filter which fits perfectly) and a handy storage area for the litter scoop which comes with it - which keeps it all to hand for those litter clean ups.

NB: the only thing to watch out for is that you do get your litter scoop- i bought this via the click and collect service and got it home to set it up only to find the scoop was missing - this was easily sorted by taking my reciept back to the store to get the scoop but just something to watch for.

This is perhaps the best hooded litter tray option, it looks more like a furniture than an ugly box plus i think it is a bit taller than some others so cats are feeling less claustrophobic. Always best to start kittens early on this option as i bought mine a bit late (when smell became a bit of an issue) and the older cat is a bit reluctant to use it but youngest one has no probs with it at all. If your cat is a bit uncomfortable going inside, tape up the flap to the ceiling inside until they get used to it.
