I've had this collar on my cat for over 4 months now and am looking for a replacement because its a bit tatty from all my cat's shinnanigans. I wouldn't say its an effective flea treatment and I use other products for the fleas, but when looking for a collar I found this to be the most reflective and high visibility, and since my cat is black and out almost every night this is perfect. Being outside and a bit of a hunter I took the bell off for my cat and he has an ID on it now, the safety elastic has been effective, he's had no injuries, the collar has not come off or appeared to irritate him at all, though i have to tighten it occasionally, maybe once a month. Overall a decent collar, not a substitute for other flea treatments but good visibility and durability.

I put this on my cat as he had a few fleas this made no difference as they were still alive and kicking on him

My house cat caught Fleas, never been a problem before & as he had some open sores i decided not to use Frontline.
I came on here to read some reviews about other products & decided to try Johnson 4Fleas tablets, this product worked within 10 mins & the Fleas were falling off dead, to keep them off i again read some reviews on here about Beaphar Cat Flea Collars & going by the reviews this seemed a great product, i was wrong this product did not work & i saw Fleas on him again.
I went into the Pets at Home store & asked for adivce, the assistants are trained in dealing with these products & i was told this collar does not work & i would be better with Frontline.
As my cat has had the collar on for a few days ( now removed ) i cannot treat him with any other Flea products for 7 days.
I am so angry with myself for going by the reviews & now i have to wait 7 days to treat my cat & my house as i was told to treat the house while the cat still has Fleas would be ineffective.
My advice would be to go into the store & speak to an assistant, as i wished i had done.

I decided to use these collars after finding that the spot on frontline treatment was not working properly. Since wearing these collars my two cats have not had any fleas, They have been wearing them for two months now and have had no side effects so I shall continue to buy these instead of frontline. Not only do they work out alot cheaper, they work, have no side effects and have the added visability from the collar. Can't fault these at all. excellent item.
