Description

The Exo Terra Cricket Pen is ideal for housing, keeping and dispensing live crickets.

Crickets prefer dark spaces, and will readily crawl into the tubes which provide hiding places for them, making it easy to use the tubes as dispensing tools.

The tubes remain in position when the lid is removed, allowing easy access and less chance of cricket escape.

Great product only problem I have is I got this to stop crickets escapeing but it is still difficult to transfer them from tub to this container. If this product was around the size of the caintainers crickets come in it would probably be a whole lot easier. Must admit it really makes feeding my gecko a whole lot easier.

I use it for my crickets its good because they dont get out ,sometimes it can smell though but the crickets are easily dispensed for my leopard gecko to eat

Well what can I say! This really is one extremely useful little item.
For ages I had no idea this even existed, and dealt with escapee crickets and hoppers for god knows how long.
I then found this.. I was a little dubious at first, I thought it might be one of those items which are so often made... made for what?? Made to bring in cash. How wrong was I!
It is small, that is it's draw back. Although you can get larger sizes, P@H only seem to stock this smaller size, so have to squeeze lots of crickets intogether. I get field and black crickets and prefer to have them seperate, as I also get diff sizes, so I always have a constant supply comming in and going out.
The one great thing about this little box, is the little "arms" that come out. Crickets crawl up into the "arms", as they like dark places to hide, so it makes it so much easier to just dump your crickets into the vivarium, without juggling around escapee's, etc.
Once a week I dump the crickets/hoppers in my roasting pot and shake them about with calcuim powder. This not only coats the little blighters, but also concusses them a little.
Leo's can be lazy little sods at times, so the hoppers deffo need this done, a little shake to daze, so your leo can guzzle them down.
