I bought the product for my hamster because she was biting the plastic of her old bowl and it was un-hygenic, so I bought this bowl because it was ceramic and the problem was resolved. It holds the right amount of food a syrian hamster needs daily and it's solid so doesn't tip over. It has a smooth coating so it is easy to clean and I bought this item in the orange polka dot design and it is an attractive item which adds even more colour to my pets cage. I would only recommend this to someone who has a small pet because the depth isn't deep enough to hold the right amount of food for a larger pet's requirements.

This bowl is perfect. When I bought my gerbils, I got a metal bowl with the gerbilarium. The metal bowl isn't bad but it was too deep so it hurt their tummies whilst they were trying to grab the food and it was too light so I would wake up in the morning to find that it had been pushed down the ladder. But this bowl is very shallow and wide so my gerbils like to sit in it when they are eating. And don't listen to the people who think it could be deeper because you aren't meant to fill the bowls completely full anyway. I like to put in a small amount and wait for them to eat it all before I fill it up again. I think the best things about this bowl are:
1: You can put it in the dishwasher or just wipe it clean.
2: It is nice and thick and thick and totally chew proof!
Buy it, you can't get any other better bowl!

I bought two of these, one for a hamster who was temporarily in a small cage and the other as a second smaller food bowl for a pair of rats.

These bowls are sturdy and smooth so easy to wipe clean. They're steadier than a lightweight stainless steel bowl. It's a good little bowl to put in a cage with more than one pet so there are less squabbles at mealtimes.

They're a bit shallow so don't hold very much but that's a small niggle. They are quite lightweight so pets will find them easy to pull around and tip over if they are so inclined, especially a stronger pet like a rat or large Syrian hamster.

Good product for the money and a good space saver in a small cage, owners may simply need to top them up more often and keep an eye out for spillage.

I use these bowls for my two guinea pigs Beckham and Terri and also my syrian hamster Neville, i think they are perfect size and fit nicely into their cages.

I've had my hamster for a year and a 3 months now and loves his home. When we bought the cage it came with lots of things he would need, like a bottle, wheel, bowl etc. but, he kept tipping the bowl over. He seemed happy so we let him keep that one to keep him entertained but then we decided maybe we should get a different one. So, we went out and bought this one. It's very good, can't be chewed or gnawed and thats brilliant. It also cannot be tipped over. But ever since giving him the new bowl, he wasn't eating as much which made us quite concerned, so we gave him back the old on and just let him tip it over. He seems happy enough and is now eating normally and how we would expect him to. Not bad a product and is probably just my hamster so other pet owners - DO NOT WORRY!
Overall, pretty good. :D

I use this bowl for my hamster and its perfect! He cant tip it over, its good depth and its easy to clean! And because its made out of pot he cant chew it! Buy it!

Perfect! I have this smaller one for one of my four pet mice. He loves it! He can't move it around easily so the food stays put in the bowl unless he picks it out. He can perch on the side and eat from it. It is so simple to clean, hard waring and perfectly safe for animal use! I also have a large one for my rabbit and she has her water in it, she can't throw it around, break it, chew it, or spill her water easily so this is an all round suitable product! big or small get one of these NOW
