As reviews below say, it is no good for rats!! I got this free with a new cage when I adopted two new rats and they ended up being really irritated by it! I suggest carefresh as I have always used this for my rattie babies and it is very good at odor control and it's not as noisy!

its very good at absorbing my rabbits wee and all u need to do in sprinkle a layer into your animals litter tray and your done irs so easy to use and is dust free so wont irritate my rabbits nose or skin.

I first got this for my Guinea pig hoping that it would obsorb and they didn't use the litter at all since I had put the litter in I had to woodshaving over the top just to use it but the woodshavings obsorbed it instead.

Found it way, way too dusty for my 3 rats - lots of sneezing...also found it broke down very easy and didnt do all that well with dealing with odor. Due to this I was changing it completly every single day which isnt that cost effective at all. I can see this working for larger pets, just not small animals with sensitive noses!

This product is great for my litter trained house rabbit. Absorbant, it lasts, its safe and also good at keeping away odour ( unlike shredded paper which gets smelly easily)

Not to keen on trying out this product as thought to be dusty and irritant, and I am worried about the well being of my pet rat. Personally I like to use bio-catolet which is completely dust free and safe. Need more info on what the actual pelets are/ look like before I buy. would help if there were pictures of the pelets. :)

I tried this product when I ran put of the usual 100% paper litter litter I use in my rats toilet tray and wasn't overly impressed

disintegrates into powdery sawdust really quickly after contact with with wee/liquids which then made the rats sneeze so needs replacing completely frequently so not great value either

ended up giving it to a friend who has a cat!

Wood and paper based litter such as this is important to use. Many rabbit owners use sawdust which can cause respiratory problems. Wood based litter is absorbant and tidy. Use in a cat litter tray and you will find cleaning your bunny out becomes easier. Regular wood based (non fragranced) cat litter pellets do the same job . The pets at home litter is good, but can be replaced with a cheaper cat litter alternative. DO NOT use fullers earth or clay litter with rabbits

great litter,perfect for rats, rabbits, hamsters, mice, birds, guinee pigs etc. my two rats don't mind it at all, the litter has a nice smell to it and soaks up alot of wee and the smell of poop and that kinda thing. but as with all small animals their cage needs cleaning out almost every day especially because rats are prone to resperity infection and not cleaning them out regular can contribute a big deal to chest infetions, phemonia and other lung and chest related deseases. ( i lost one of my rats to lung cancer and almost lost another to a bad chest infection )
