I love this carrier, but not for my cat!

I personally love this carrier, but for my 3 rats, as opposed to my cat.

I needed a big, spacious, carrier for longer journeys (we already have the Aladino carrier for cage clean outs, vet trips etc which is very good) i.e. when visiting my family who live a few hours away.

This carrier is perfect for them, the gaps in the sides are too small for them to squeeze out (they are fairly small females too) I can slot a water bottle through them. The carrier gives them enough space to move about and get out of each others space. They can also see me through the sides and the door which is a big plus. I would think it would also be possible to fix a bowl to the front door, although I have not tried this yet.

I would not put bedding in this carrier (to soak up urine etc) due to the low down door slats, but towels do the job fine and my rats like hiding under them.

I also like that it is a front loading carrier, as it is easier to put them in without them hopping straight back out again! It also has seatbelt hooks on the top of the carrier, although they usually travel on my lap so I have not tested them out.

I would not leave small pets such as rats in this carrier for long periods of time as I am not sure how well it would stand up to a good chewing! (mine are not chewers) But provided they are supervising I think this is an ideal carrier. Would recommend to other rat owners.

This item seemed like a bargain and as we don't use it frequently we thought it would be fine.
My cat (quite a gentle soul!) broke the door down and escaped. She travelled better just on my lap on a blanket (Not ideal!)
Would not buy again.

I thought this cat carrier was ok until today when one of my cats escaped and started flying about the car at 60 miles an hour on the motorway back from the vets! The plastic door is flimsy and easy to break out of (apparently) for some cats. The other cat was well behaved and safe in her box throughout the commotion so I think it's ok for some, but don't buy this one if your cat is likely to make a break for it.

I have 2 small cats, around 4kg in weight each, if that. Untill a few months ago this held the both of them quite comfortable, I say this with in mind that my cats are sisters and have always been together so they do not mind if they have to snuggle up! I find the carrier as a whole not bad for the money, it is a classic experiance of a plastic carrier, fussy clips, fussy door, bit bulky when carrying on public transport etc but all of this you get used to. Not at all bad for the money :)

I would say though, I would not expect this carrier to transport a bigish cat (Forest/MaineCoon etc) as I do only use it for short trips (20-30mins) or for short car journeys!

I upgraded a few months ago and my cats were roughly 1.5years old at that time, the carrier had just started to out-grow the both of them.

I have been using this to transport my 2 male guinea pigs around and it has been great for them. I read the reviews for this product and checked mine over very carefully before paying for it and taking it home. The clips for the door are similar to many cat cage doors and although it is a reasonable size for my two piggies I don't think it would be suitable for cats or even rabbits as it doesn't seem that secure. The only problem I have with it is that I am unable to attach a water bottle for longer journeys but other than that it is perfect for my two boys.

I have been using this carrier for the last 7 months but my 10 month old kitten is now getting a bit big for it. Ive never had any problems with the carrier, some people may find the door a bit fiddly but its easy once you've done it a few times. The handle has never fallen off for me, even when using it more recently as shes gotten bigger. I've only used it for journies of about half an hour max and she soon settles down on a blanket and doesn't moan.

i bought this carrier for my 8 week old kitten he is now 12 weeks old and has nearly grown out of it when i got it there was clips missing from it when i brought it back they wouldnt replace it or give me the missing clips i bought it mainly because of the price wish now that i had invested in a dearer one.

We used this to transport our new cat home in. She seemed very comfortable, with lots of space and we were able to get her into it easily.

I liked how it unclips in half, making it easy to clean and can be used as a bed if you line it with a blanket.

The door seemed fine to use. It seems like there is little quality control with this product as it appears to be pot luck whether the handle/door snaps off.

Overall, I thought this was great value for money, looks good and would be excellent for the occassional trip to the vet etc.

I bought this carrier to take my dwaft rabbit to the vets.It looked bright and cosy sitting on the shelf and not to big.The reality was it fell to pieces the door was flimsy the clips were not sturdy enough for me to feel that the rabbit was safe, one came undone luckly in the car and the door did not fasten with out struggle it is now in pieces near my bin.
