Our mastiff gets excited when he hears the neighbours in their gardens and jumps on the fence which is worrying for those on the other side. This training aid worked reasonably well but the collar is very poor quality considering the price of the item. The collar is thin and cheap with the loose buckle completely insecure. We had to drill a hole through it and use a nut and bolt to keep it in place. Also, there is no reference to the size of the collar (or dogs that the item is suitable for) on the packaging.
The spray itself is good but the collar is rubbish.
We found it more effective when used with citronella and not just compressed air.

Works OK as a training aid at home,but limited range outside.
Collar is poor quality considering the price of the item.
After 4 weeks use the spray is not working due to the spray valve leaking.

We have a 3 year old ESS, she's normally adorable but suffers rage & temper tantrums with our much larger border collie/German shepherd cross. Never with humans.

This only occurred in the house, outside the bc/gs is the pack leader.

We tried a behaviourist and whilst his guidance was good it only proved to be partially effective.

We therefore tried this and it's worked instantly, just 5 days in and we have a much happier doggy family. We only use the spray if she doesn't respond to the beep first...we started with a beep then a blast, so she would mentally pair with the beep, expecting a blast if she didn't adjust her behaviour.

We intend to keep the collar on for at least a month before we try her without it...I will post a follow up review at a later date...but so far so good :-)

After trying a few training classes for Our husky/Rottweilers dog aggression and new people aggression, and finding that they were ineffectual at completely controlling her. I was close to pulling my hair out when this product was recommended and I can honestly say it has completely changed our dog! She was scared of the air at first and came to associate it with doing something wrong, she now shows understanding of if she gets squirted then that is a behaviour that we don't want and after one or two times of getting squirted for a certain behaviour she stops showing it altogether. She has now completely stopped barking at people, stopped throwing herself at the front door when someone knocks and instead goes to her bed, she goes straight to bed, she walks to heel, she lets new people stroke her as long as they are slow moving. All in all she is a much happier dog because she now understand s her place. We used the sprayer as a tool to show bad behaviours and then reward and train the good behaviours. I would honestly recommend anyone with dogs showing any of these traits to get this product rather than paying for very expensive consultants... We ve been there and tbh I would quite happily buy one of these a year if I needed to... But thanks to the hard wearing material and warranty and shouldn't have to!

After trying everything else on the market for our dog aggressive shar-pei, we feel like we have hit the jack pot. It has changed my walks with him 100%. Where i used to avoid walking past other dogs, i now walk past confidently(with the remote in hand). He mostly only needs the beep now and rarely needs a spray from the collar. Its very easy to get going with it, I would recommend this to anyone that is having trouble with a stubborn dog. Theres nothing that i would change about this collar, it seems expensive but it is worth it. The result was instant, after two weeks he is a changed dog and now listens to me. *FANTASTIC*

These collars definitely have their uses but be careful about which types of dog you use them on. I have a challenging rescue border collie who used to chase joggers and cyclists and leap up at people. He is also aggressive to other dogs and has been so since a tiny pup. I considered whether to use one of these collars for quite some time before purchasing. I must add that ever since he was 10 weeks old he has been to the same training classes as my older border collie with whom I do competition obedience and agility so I did not see this collar as a quick fix in isolation but as part of a wider training programme and only after other methods were not working! I think the collar did help with the jogger and bike chasing and with the jumping up at everyone, something which he very rarely does these days. What I realise in hindsight however is that his aggression to other dogs is totally fear based and because of this I think the collar actually made his aggression to other dogs worse, something which I have been and will probably always be working hard to reverse. The collar is well made and functions as it says, I have no complaints on this score but please consider carefully if it meets your and your dog's needs. I have now passed the collar on to a friend with a poo-eating confident lab and it is working well to stop this behaviour. Probably not a great product for a nervous dog.

I havent had it for 8 wks and it has stopped working,,the spray action wont work,,[$] waste of money. I dont think it is water proof,,I removed it when we were near water so it has never been immersed in water ive also changed the batteries in both collar and remote,,the bleep works nothing else does,,Find another collar with a better rep,,,i cant find the receipt so its probably been the most expensive pointless training aid ive wasted money on...

Our year old dog had a tendency to bark at everything and would run off when taking her for a walk. This forced us to have her on a lead permanently. After 3 days of ownership of this device, she no longer barks, and on walks off the lead doesn't wander off. This device became effective on the first day. I think I have used the spray function about 3 times in total. I use the buzzer as a warning, and if there is still disobedience a quick spray. Now the buzzer is all thats needed, and today I haven't even had to use that. So far I have not found any bad points. I notice another reviewer states that there is no on/off button. Well there is, turn the dial on top of the battery compartment.

The remote spray collar is a good training device to remove problem behaviours. I wouldn't use it for 'training' as it recommends, but I used it to retrain lunging/barking at other dogs. It did work well for a short time, until the dogs realise it only sprayed when I held the remote (sneakiness essential for clever dogs!).He also thought the radiator had a leak the 1st few times I used it in the house, and examined every inch of it to see where the spray came from. I don't recommend it for simple problems, but it can help in habitual behaviours. I would only use it as a last resort or when the dog could be in danger from continuing the undesired behaviour, i.e lunging over roads!. A tip! My behaviourist advised to only use scentless spray, as the citronella spray can damage/dull the dogs sense of smell, no good for those of us who train scent work!!

I bought this collar after a lot of deliberation! I was pretty sceptical about it but after using it ONCE it has worked! One of my Beagles is a persistant barker and I had tried just about eveything else i.e positive reinforcement, long walks to tire her out before going into her kennel with the others etc, etc. This was the last resort! It is pricey but for a quiet life it has been worth it! I haven't ticked durable because it has only been out of the box for 2 hours!! I will be keeping it for any future barking Beagles.......
