Description

The 3-Day Pyramid Fish Feeder for Freshwater Fish by API is the ideal way to feed your fish whilst you are away.

With a soluble outer shell which gradually dissolves releasing food into your aquarium, makes the 3-Day Pyramid Fish Feeder the great way to cover weekends away or any short period of time.

Each pack comes with four feeding blocks containing a complete diet fish food, which is suitable for tropical and coldwater fish.

Each feeding block contains enough food to feed 15-20 average sized fish for 3-4 days.

The 3-Day Pyramid Fish Feeder is NOT SUITABLE for fish bowls or aquariums without adequate filtration; water circulation is required for the block to properly dissolve.

Initially started bubbling away, but even the next morning it looked the same. When i removed it from the tank it was still solid. Good job i tried one before heading off. A lot of money for a poor product.

As we go away regularly on short breaks I bought this product so that my neighbour would not have to come to feed my pond fish. We have a filter and pump in the pond so thought that this would be the answer. On our return the pyramid had not dissolved at all, therefore hungry fish. I have tried again while at home and the shell of pyramid remains rock solid after three days. At no time has any food been released.

I went away for a few days over Christmas, so I decided to use a food block.

I cleaned out my tank the day before I left so my fish would be ok while I was away.

When I got back home the block had only partly dissolved. The chalky encasing it hadn't dissolved enough to let my fish get to the food inside, so for four days my fish went hungery.

But the chalky encasing had dissolved enough to make the water very murky & very mucky. Two of my three fish have now got fin-rot & one of them has a fungus infection.

Still, it's a good money spinner for the fish equipment manufacturers, as I have now got to buy some treatment for my fish.

I tried this product a month before I went on holiday. A month later the feeding block had not dissolved, at all. I have a 90L tank with a Fluval 2 plus filter, more than adequate filtration. Even putting the feeding block in boiling water does not cause it to dissolve.
