I was recommended to try this by my dog trainer, as my little jack shu was exhibiting severe anxious behaviours, including panic attacks. These attacks are triggered by several thing including loud unexpected noises, motorbikes, very loud people and new situations.
The vet prescribed her a sedative (which helped but I was very reluctant to drug her every time she had an attack). I also tried valarium and skull cap drops and tablets, again these helped but sent her off her food. I was at the point of accepting I'd have to drug my little baby until this was suggested to me.
When it arrived I was very sceptical it would do anything, it looks like a thin t-shirt, but when she had an attack I put it on. The first time I put it on it was a little fiddly to do up correctly, as it has to be quite tight to work (but once fitted you can just undo the chest/tummy Velcro, so it's pretty easy). To my amazement after 5-10 minutes my little girl was calm, relaxed and asleep on my knee, and has continued to work every time since. I couldn't believe how quickly it helps, usually once my dog has an attack that's it for the rest of the day, she'd be shaking, panting and trying to find somewhere to hide, but not anymore.
I would highly recommend this to anyone who has an anxious dog, well worth the money, and makes me feel so much happier that I can help my dog through a distressing episode so easily and quickly.

We bought this just today and it is brilliant. We have a 6 mouth old beagle boy and he is very anxious and excitable when meeting people. We put it on him and straight away he stopped pulling and jumping up on people. He has been so relaxed today and it was lovely to see him playing calmly with our son.

Love this product.

thought it would work on our dog that has seperation anxiety but had to give him up as he could rip it off and cost me more money to replace everything. also was still constantly barking and toileting around the house instead of going outside. product ended up with holes from he ripping it off.

I have 3 dogs:
Chihuahua
Siberian Husky
and S/Husky number 2 on the way!

I got my Chihuahua at 5+1/2 wks old. Never had a problem with her, so, great!!
(Chihuahua was over 1yr.old at this point)-Then I decided I wanted a bigger breed. With much research, I chose a Husky. From day one she has been panting, whimpering, yelping, whining, howling, barking, digging and pooping in her crate, along with licking the bars, whenever I leave the house (hardly ever pees which is weird since she does everything else). < I know all of this because I had recorded her.
She always has plenty of treats and toys to keep her occupied when in her crate, I also use it as 'the positive place to be'. It's just not enough for some dogs if they have this type of anxiety.
One time recently, I left her out her crate and took the rubbish out (so, about 20 seconds). When I returned she had peed behind the door (she had just been for her walk)! So I know she can't stay out of her crate when I'm gone.
I have been studying dog training and dog behaviour for over 7+1/2 years now, so have tried all the possible solutions you can imagine. The only things I hadn't tried yet- ShockCollar (which I still refuse to use and will NEVER use!), Thundershirt, and Medication (which if monitored carefully by a reliable and trustworthy vet, would be a very, very last resort!).
After over 1 year of hard work and testing everything else of my knowledge, heard about Thundershirt, read up on Thundershirt, ordered/bought Thundershirt, then put it to the job! Followed ALL instructions/training methods for use from their website and ANY reviews I could find online. After doing this correctly, of course I noticed what was working and when it was working.
After 5-10 minutes she would look sleepy and lie down. She did look relaxed. Although, within this time and after, she was still very alert and knew every move I was making.
Her first time in the crate wearing the Thundershirt when I was out,- well when I came back she seemed fine. No poop/pee (couldn't tell if she was howling and the rest- my camera had broke), she wasn't as boisterous as she usually is- seemed ok compared to her usual antics. So right away I had faith in the Thundershirt.
The next time I went out she had done the lot with the Thundershirt on. She had also managed to open half the velcro- pulling at it with her teeth, I presume. I was gone a bit longer than the last time though.
I will continue to use the Thundershirt, as it can take quite a good while before it takes full effect, so I still have hope. Only time will tell now.
My Husky has been trained the same way as my Chi. Just goes to show how different all dog breed compatibilities are.

My Chihuahua is 2+1/2 yrs.old at this point. My Husky is almost 1+1/2 yrs.old at this point. My new Siberian Husky pup, that's coming in a few days (who is from the same breeder as my other S/Husky- they are Big Sis & Wee Bro), will be trained slightly differently through certain times of puppyhood. He may or may not need a Thundershirt at one point-later on. I'm hoping that the two Huskies will enjoy and rely on each other's comfort/companionship whenever I leave the house, hopefully I can give them the confidence to do so, too. Here Is Hoping!

I bought this for my very anxious rescue dog I was at my wits end with the continuous yapping whenever someone walked past the house or worse yet knocked on the door. I have tried everything to try and calm her and after 8 years of owning her I thought she would just never be calm.
I thought that with the money back guarantee it would be worth trying but I didn't honestly think it would work. My dog is now an angel she no longer yaps no longer jumps up at visitors and has stopped pacing round the house constantly.
For an anxious dog I couldn't recommend more it is the best thing I have ever bought for her.
Visitors have commented on how much calmer and nicer she is now.

One of our dogs is petrified of loud noises, especially fireworks - panting, shaking, jumping up and trying to hide behind me. Pheromones didn't help at all.
Only heard of this shirt on 4th Nov, bought on way home from work on 5th so no time to get her accustomed to it. As soon as we put it on her, it was quite literally an instant change. Panting stopped, she calmed down, lay down all relaxed. Unbelievably effective. I've seen some unfavourable reviews, but it certainly worked for Lucy, our staffie cross, within seconds.

Our newly rehomed dog is terrified of fireworks and got himself so stressed out that he wasn't sleeping at night and was barking (almost hysterically) at any strange noise inside or outside the house. The thundershirt allowed him to relax enough to go to sleep that first night. The next day he was so much better and more relaxed as he'd had a good night sleep. This isn't a magic bullet for our large mixbreed, he still barks at any fireworks, but he is easier to calm down. For us the benefit of the thundershirt is that it helps him sleep through the night, making life easier for all of us.

I heard about this product through a friend and did some online research. I was still a bit cautious buying it, but it gives amazing results! My dog has a tough time around this time of year (November) with fireworks going off. From now till new years, there will be several nights of her getting stressed and upset. I bought this for her and it is fantastic. She only got a little upset when there was a really big bang, but even then I could get her calm in seconds. The rest of the fireworks going off outside didn't phase her at all. What a difference this is going to make. I'm going to try it on her next time we go to the vet - another stressful time for her. But I'm a firm (surprised) believer!

My 4 year old has always suffered anxiety towards loud noises, whilst there is no magic fix for any dog problems, this product certainly seems to have put him at ease a little more.

This is the first day of wearing it, and there haven't been a massive amount of fireworks t'night, but he's certainly calmer than he'd usually be and I've noticed no trembling at all, which leads me to believe he is less anxious than usual towards the loud bangs.

To anyone who's thinking about trying this product, bear in mind there will be a settling in period, the smell and feel of a coat may be strange for the dog initially, it's best to use it when it's not needed in order to get the dog used to wearing it.

I am so please with the thundershirt.I can not belive the differance in our Jack Russell. When I put it on her she was so calm, after just ten min's she fell asleep. we have put it on every time she starts to shake from loud noises and when she is in the car on the motor way. I have just tried it on her walk and it's calmed her down every time. She is so much more relaxed and happy now. She loves putting it on and wags her tail every time I get it out as if to say thank you. (THANKYOU thundershirt)
