stem too hard

No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I bought this hay for my guinea pigs because it seemed nice. But when I opened it, I was disappointed because the stems are very hard and sharp and it damaged the eye of one of my guinea pigs. She has had eye drops for 10 days now. So I don't recommended it!

My rabbit and guinea pigs love it.
Every morning when i open the bag they go wild.
My rabbit can be a bit fussy when it comes to hay so its
good to find something she loves.
Your rabbits or guinea pigs are bound to enjoy.

I put this in the sleeping compartment ontop of shavings and also in the day compartmment and my two piggies love both. It is great for them to stay cosy during the colder spring nights

This is a good quality hay, it is good value for money because it is compressed and lasts a long time. Bunnies love it which is great because it is so nutritious.

Green, nutritious hay, that is not dusty. It is somewhat expensive, yet it is by far worth the price. My rabbits eat it alongside nuggets and suitable vegetables to supplement a well-balanced diet. It lasts for a long time and is ideal for all owners that love their pets!

This is really nice hay, nice and green and not dusty - and apparently very yummy too! Okay it is more expensive than some other P@H hays, but I think it is worth it. It is a lot cheaper than a lot of other good brand hays (some of mine are £8 a kg, this is [$] for nearly 2kg!) It is also cut at a decent length, which is good because longer hay is better for bunnies' teeth. Timothy hay is higher in fibre than meadow hay and so is also better for tummies.Bunnies should eat a MINIMUM of their own size in hay per day (size as in volume, not weight) preferably much more, or they can get very expensive, very painful teeth problems that can cause them to stop eating and even kill them. Lots of bunnies wont eat a lot of cheap bedding hay like the normal pets at home one, so I just use this for their beds and litter trays. I wouldn't waste this hay as bedding, I usually just put a pile of it in the living area and hayrack and make sure its always available and it lasts ages that way. To encourage them to eat the right amount of hay reducing pellets and also introducing different (unfortunately more expensive) hays is normally the answer for even fussy bunnies.This hay is actually cheap for a good quality hay. The woodlands harvest hays that P@H do (the ones with herbs etc) are only 300g, so work out at £21.54 for same amount as you get in this pack!! My bunny prefers it too, although he does like the herby bits in the woodlands ones. So I mix them together with this hay and Excel (and some others) and he woofs it down!

This hay is fantastic quality and its worth paying that little bit more, as it so much greener than regular hay and you have less chance of your guinea pigs catching mites/lice as the hay has been sterilized. My boys (guinea pigs) go mad for this hay and they eat every last strand.
